Best Picture Yes Blasphemy, But no other movie brought all groups of people together like it. It shed light on the Palestinian genocide, made straight men not evil for a while and was genuinely moving

Original Score As much as I loved the music in this movie I was shocked to see only about 6 tracks of the motion picture soundtrack were lyrical songs, The 27 other tracks that had little to no lyrics at all, music composed for this film were so striking and I think that’s why it deserves to have at least been nominated
Best Casting A new award so it makes sense as to why it went to a heavy hitter, but the main and supporting characters really helped bring the junction to life, That opening scene of the older versions of the main character driving to their grandchild’s baby shower warms the heart
Best original song TIE Yes, Yes, this is technically nominated but they chose the WRONG song, I understand why Golden was picked as the lead single because thats what it was in the movie and was pushed heavily but “What it sounds like” is such a powerful culminating track.
Best original song TIE It’s so tragic that this is, to my knowledge, the only instance in all forms of media that unites the entire African diaspora, past present and future. without making it palatable for the whites for example Black panther
Best adapted Screenplay Though I’ve yet to watch the original, I believe this movie does it a great service in elevating it, widening its audience and bringing it into the present
Best Visual Effects No one watched this movie, And that is such an awful thing but the few that did, me included, were gifted with the most impressive and beautiful visuals in recent years.
