Por fin vi la primera película de Guillermo del Toro y me gustó bastante. Cronos es una ópera prima que ya muestra muchas de las obsesiones que marcarían su cine: la vida, la muerte, los monstruos y la melancolía. Me encantaron sus referencias al terror clásico, con ecos de Drácula y Frankenstein, combinados con historias de ultratumba y objetos misteriosos. Además, sorprende ver desde su primera película a grandes actores mexicanos e internacionales como Ron Perlman. Es una película entretenida, triste y misteriosa, que no busca responder todas sus preguntas, sino atraparte con su atmósfera y su historia. Y vaya manera de comenzar una carrera: Cronos ya demuestra que Guillermo del Toro tenía una voz cinematográfica muy particular.
