I think the cast was amazing the dialect coach did well. I think the story is so interesting as I like all music and I heard one of their songs before to not think that they were American. It was it’s a part of true late 90’s early 2000’s culture, it makes me want to learn more about modern true Scottish stories but to me music will always connect the world but the cinematography and locations in Scotland they used were close beautiful touch to how grounded the scenes were. James McAvoy help push “a true make it out the hood story”, and brought it to the screen. It’s a not 8 Mile story it its own thing and it’s cool part of music and pop culture history.

View allIn the late 1990s, Gavin Bain and Billy Boyd had their musical ambitions consistently ridiculed for having the 'wrong' accents, so they went for broke and reinvented themselves as Californian rappers. The duo re-recorded their own tracks with fake accents and turned up in London claiming to be an established duo on the Cali scene as well as childhood friends with Eminem. They quickly bagged themselves a record deal, a hefty sum in advances, and an appearance on MTV... until it all came crashing down.
