Ummm ok
Underwhelming. Didn’t live up to the hype the marketing campaign created
Premisa MUY original. Te pone a pensar qué harías.
Since I didn’t see the trailer, this movie was very different to what I imagined it would be. Robert’s character was low-key the antagonist, bro started freaking out for no reason, after his fiancé was doing the biggest effort to have a great wedding. It’s strange how the movie makes you want to give Zendaya a second chance, but in reality it’s her giving him all these second chances, even when they met the first time.
I took forever to watch this because someone on twitter spoiled the plot twist for me 😭 and i genuinely thought it wouldn’t hit the same because of it, but somehow it still did. even knowing that, the movie still works so well because the emotional tension just keeps building until it quietly destroys you lol. outside of that, i honestly think this is one of the best films A24 has released recently. the premise alone instantly hooked me, and i loved the way it explores how our past can follow us no matter how hard we try to move forward from it. also… it genuinely makes no sense how good and versatile Robert Pattinson is as an actor. every role feels completely different from the last. same with Zendaya, they both brought so much emotion to the film without it ever feeling forced. and the editing??? actually insane. everything flows so smoothly and keeps you locked in the entire time. somehow emotionally heavy but still such an easy watch ;)

STORY/SCRIPT ORIGINALITY: 2/5 CINEMATOGRAPHY/EDITING [DIRECTING]: 4/5 CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT [PLOT]: 3.5/5 MUSIC, SOUND, & SCORE: 3/5 ACTING [MAIN CAST]: 4/5 REWATCHABILITY & ENJOYMENT: 3/5 PERSONAL RATING: 3/5 22.5/35 -WOW, the build-up to Zendaya’s drama, and where do you draw the line for what’s fucked up and not -The photographer scene is perfectly cringe -Why are Zendaya and Pattinson do all their wedding planning two days before their actual wedding day…unrealistic -I’m don’t plan on watching this film ever again but it does you thinking…Do the actions someone does when they’re at their lowest point dictate how we should view them for the rest of their life?
This movie was very much you have to watch it to very closely otherwise you will lose the plot of the movie. I struggled to fully grasp the point of this movie but I think it was a good movie nonetheless.
