Has anyone seen a plot? Cause i’ve been looking for it for the past 2 hours
Solo porque es un papucho
Very meh. The concept’s cool and what not but the execution was lacking. Extremely slow movie. It felt like a lot happened and nothing happened at the same time. Very weird
Kinda like the last of us, kinda like fallout new Vegas
Ridley sure knows how to direct action scenes and I really enjoyed the visuals and the landscapes/set pieces. Acting was fine. But boy, some of the worst dialogue and pacing I’ve seen in years. Every time the two leads made a joke and said “bad” basically summed up how I felt about every line spoken in the film.
This movie is in a grey area. A step above teen drama. A step below Hallmark/Lifetime dramas. Pretty much an apocalyptic thriller for a Mom, but still enjoyable for everyone else. A decent movie.
The Dog Stars does what it needs to in order to succeed as a post apocalyptic story but not enough to stand out in the genre. I’m a fan of Jacob Elordi but he had as many scenes in this one that felt phoned in as he had where he really showed his talents. I was feeling pretty highly about the movie until the Grand Junction scene which admittedly felt like a pretty big miss and kept this film from being great. Despite its flaws, I still enjoyed but not as much as I wanted to or thought I was going to walking in - @{user:7A9E03D4-76C6-4E4B-BE2A-B0C9C45378C8} (7.3/10) I'm extremely disappointed in this one. I had pretty high hopes that it would be one to break this run we've been on, but it just didnt do it for me. I felt like I grinded through a really bad video game. Random side quests that had no return on the investment. Lazy acting didn't help either. Honestly the best parts were the cinematography, Colorado looked stunning! - @{user:8FC6C06C-3C2A-4D74-8226-FF0B9C3F1F59} (5.8/10)
