Such a fun and nostalgic B-movie that is much deeper then what you expect!
One of the most original and surreal films I’ve ever seen. Unbelievable cast, funny, and nostalgic for 90s kids
Rating every movie I watch this year for first time movie 80: I saw this on tiktok in parts, it was very good, Keegan Michael Kay kills it as buddy , he is unrecognizable I didn't know it was him at all. The kids all kill it as well and they deserve their stripes and really kill it. The gore is a lot but it works. The plot is very messy though and I can see why people said it was crappy because the plot is all over the place but it works . Cristin Milioti Is fantastic and is really good and she really shines here. All the kids shine very well. All the supporting actors also kill it . I will say that the tv show element was better then going into the real world. They should of kept it as more of a tv show vibe instead of jumping into the real world. The costumes are amazing and the make up effects and everything are really good. Buddy when he gets burnt is has a really cool effect and costume to him that's cool and looks very disturbing. This movie definitely deserves more love and a sequel cause that ending was wack. Go watch!
Honestly I very much enjoyed this. I have a lot of question about how this universe works and I hope we do get sequels going deeper into it and further explaining the lore. Honestly this is a fresh idea. It reminds me of Hulu’s Mr. Crockett but like actually good! The ending kind of fell flat for me but overall I enjoyed it and it did keep me intrigued.
A lot to unpack with this movie. Loved it! Wouldn’t be surprised raised if a prequel/sequel gets made.
Creative, bizarre, unsettling, and unique - man what a run the horror genre is on. Buddy is nothing like any movie I’ve seen before and unlikely to be like any movie I’ll see again. Flipping the concept of a children’s television show in to a horror concept is both genius and sick. Hard to explain what I liked about this movie without giving it away- but I tip my hat to the creatives for taking a chance and absolutely landing it.
