A fun and lighthearted period-action watch. It doesn’t require much from you as a viewer besides your attention for about an hour and 30 minutes. The Rock in this role is okay, to say the least. He’s a bit more serious and raw than usual, which was nice to see. The supporting cast is okay too. The plot was easy to follow, although it was losing me a bit in some parts. The writing was okay. The action scenes were the highlight for me rather than the performances, which I was hoping would be the opposite. I do have one or two favourite characters though. Overall, an okay movie.
