The Legend of Vox Machina

This was a strange season. We find the gang in different places and situations, thinking they’ve each moved on and don’t need the others when it’s totally the opposite. It did felt kinda forceful when they were all thinking “ah the others don’t need me”. I get some of the characters thinking that but to others that didn’t fit. You’ve known each other for so long, saved the world together, is it crazy to go to them for help in that regard? Anyways. Scanlan storyline has culminated in him pretty much leaving Vox Machina. He might return in the future but for now he is trying to stay with his daughter. Which is nice and all, I appreciate his character development but this isn’t about being mercenaries like they were at the beginning. It’s a threat that puts everyone in danger and Scanlan it’s kinda being selfish. I don’t know, maybe I’m salty because he is one of my favorites and he only comes back for one episode. Still, I enjoyed the addition of Tary more than I expected. He actually contributes something to the team and his skillset it’s totally different to the others. I specially love his friendship with Percy over their affinity for science, even if Tary also uses magic. I’m loving the little romances. I wish we had got to see Vex and Percy’s wedding, totally valid crashout from Vax, but it’s fine. I love my parents. In terms of Vax and Keyleth, I feel for them. Are they ever gonna be happy? Besides that I love that we got to see the girls and the guys bond on their own time, you know if I didn’t ship the canon ships I would ship the yuri and yaoi. I’m not sorry. Pike was such a big standout this season. Even if she said “little Pike is finally important”, she has always had a crucial role, like the game in hell and getting the vestige, but this time around it felt like she was the protagonist. (And you could say Vax was the deuteragonist). Her spiral was so visceral, I don’t blame her decisions because she’s right, it was all kinda leading to the same conclusion. I’m so curious as to how the original campaign went about but I can’t find it in youtube 😭 we’re gonna have to live off of imagination and wait patiently for season 5.

THE FUCK. Somebody is always fucking dying. I’m not even fazed. Ok it will probably hit me later. I thought it was so easy the conclusion but of course we can’t have nice things. At least fuckass Delilah is gone? Unless he brings her back AGAIN. At the end where were the others? Tary and company. It makes me think. Is this reality??? I refuse to believe it. He’s gonna come back right? They always come back. HE’S THE CHAMPION! Oh God it’s hitting me. I hate this show 😭
