The Sopranos feels like the breaking point for anti hero stories, with Tony Soprano being a straight up bad person that you still somehow root for, which is kind of crazy. It made this type of character normal on TV, mixing crime with real life stuff like family and anxiety in a way that actually feels real. And yeah. P.S.: Fuck Livia Soprano
