Ray persists to weave a clever web of deceit around Louise as his true colours begin to unveil. Louise is surprisingly susceptible to having the wool pulled over her eyes. Will Terry be able to break the spell? Ray makes sure he silences Terry, threatening him to stay away from Louise. Zoe's drinking habits appear to have left every one treading on eggshells. Deeply embarrassed about the pass Zoe had made for him, Ashley is on edge as Zoe appears on his doorstep! What will she be after now? Paddy's patience is running out as he finds Zoe in The Woolpack drinking on her own again! Slumped in the corner Zoe gives Paddy no choice but to cover her shifts at the 'sluurgery!' Meanwhile, Charity and Terry are forced to do the bin run when both Zak and Phil call in 'sick', and when Tony won't let him back out of the racquet, Scott agrees to move it elsewhere.

Phil is forced to come clean to Charity about his moon lighting and Charity is forced to take drastic actions in sacking him on the spot. Despite Ray's threats, Terry feels he has no option but to speak to Louise. Unfortunately, his plans backfire. It appears once again Ray has got there before him. Convinced Terry is trying to sabotage her newfound relationship, Louise angrily dismisses his allegations. Terry is devastated as his attempts to blacken Ray's halo are ruled out. Despite working like a dog, Latisha seems to be getting nowhere fast with her mounting debts. Charity is cautious as Chloe tries to persuade her not to be so hard on Latisha.

Reflecting on her run in with Terry the previous night, Louise is still upset by his accusations. Ray continues to cast a shadow over Terry's allegations by suggesting that Terry's motives were not entirely innocent. Using flattery to diffuse the situation Ray is off the hook for now as his charm continues to prevail. Making the most of their time on their own Diane and Mack quietly tip toe upstairs in the B&B. There are general complaints around the village of loud music being played through the night coming from the direction of Zoe's cottage. Zoe is not in the mood to be told off as Charity teases her about her home disco! The Emmerdale web cam is up and running as Seth becomes the village's first presenter. Unfortunately Betty is blissfully unaware that she is the second presenter, in her dressing gown and rollers in their front room!

Emily finds herself unexpectantly drawn to the children from the local children's home as they visit the Vets Surgery. Paddy carefully shows the children the workings of a vets surgery. The children are in awe! The visit is cut short as Paddy is called out to help Zoe finish her rounds and the kids are ferried away. On tidying the mess in the surgery Emily is shocked to come across a stray, but not the kind of stray that usually gets veterinary attention! Emily entertains Damian as she realises he has been left behind by the bus! Temporarily dropping his mayoral charm defensive, Eric makes a cutting remark leaving Damian in despair. Upset that Damian has been left behind,

Mack sows seeds of doubt in Diane’s mind as he makes a sharp exit after their candle lit dinner. Expecting Mack to stay the night Diane settles in for a night on her own worried that she has blown it! After doing a runner from dinner Mack is a little too concerned that Diane's getting to serious. Syd comes up with the perfect distraction suggesting a night out Mack readily accepts. Determined to cheer his mate up Syd invites along Mack's ex-girlfriend - will the old flame be rekindled? Diane is forced to put on a brave face as the foursome drink in The Woolpack, a little too close for comfort for her liking. Making bitchy remarks about Diane, Miranda is doing a great job of rubbing Diane up the wrong way but how long can Diane tolerate her taunts?

Deflated from the events of the evening before, Diane takes a long hard look at herself in the mirror and is not happy with what she sees. Aware that she is no spring chicken, Diane feels a fool for ever thinking her new found relationship would last. Not realising the depths of her despair, Louise teases Diane about her competition, as Diane tries desperately to cover her hurt. Determined to find out if Mack came home after his evening out, Diane goes in search of the truth. Using a Rodney visit as an excuse, Diane heads over to the B&B to see if Mack is shacked up with his ex. Emily makes a conscious decision that she would like to be involved with disadvantaged children, when Jack suggests she look into fostering. Worried about how much experience she would need,

On call to a job in Halifax for a few days, Mack tells Diane of his departure. Diane takes the news badly convinced he is trying to let her down gently. Determined to reject him before he rejects her, Diane feigns aloofness and practically chucks him out. Although confused by Diane's actions, Mack feels that maybe he had his wires crossed about Diane as she was so blasé about their relationship. Louise is compelled to stick her oar in, as Mack seems prepared to walk away from Diane without a fight. Will Mack let Diane know that all is not lost or walk away leaving his damsel in distress? Emily is forced to come clean to Paddy about her plans to foster.

Feeling guilty about his outburst, when Emily suggested fostering, Paddy has had time to digest the idea. Admitting he has over reacted, Emily is encouraged and asks Paddy to think it over. Paddy is proud that Emily feels so much compassion and pleasantly surprised by her ground work but he has a lot on his plate at the moment. Seizing the opportunity to air his worries, Paddy confesses to Chris that Zoe’s behaviour is getting more worrying. Chris wonders if it's because the following week is the fifth anniversary of Frank's death, and is forced to acknowledge that Zoe's problem is getting worse after Paddy tells him about the drugs she's been taking, as well as the amount of alcohol she's been drinking.

Having hardly slept a wink a dishevelled Zoe arrives early at the surgery. Nicola helps to ease Zoe's apparent anxiety by answering the phones. Deeply concerned by Zoe's behaviour Paddy collars Chris to get his opinion. Seemingly aware of what may be bothering Zoe, Chris appears unsympathetic. On the anniversary of their father's death, Chris is conscious that Zoe might be taking things badly. Having visited Frank's grave Chris is worried, as it is the first time ever he has beaten Zoe in laying flowers.

Zoe’s lights have been on all night, it is apparent she hasn’t had much sleep! Hiding behind the door Zoe is cautious about letting Paddy in, faking illness. Confused by Zoe's actions Paddy is forced to leave but Zoe's illness appears short-lived as she is later found drinking alone in the Woolpack. Bottling up her anxiety Zoe keeps a beady eye on Charity as she flirts with Syd. Unable to contain her jealousy any longer Zoe throws herself at Charity, much to the shock of all onlookers and Charity herself! Dejected Zoe is forced to leave the pub. Confused and emotionally vulnerable Zoe stumbles from the Woolpack. A friendly face stops to see if she is OK. Zoe misreads this and returns her affections as she uncharacteristically turns her attention to a man! Her advances are not rebuked this time as the pass quickly turns to passion.

Having blanked the events from the day before, Zoe struggles to understand why Charity has not returned her affections. There is a realisation that Zoe's behaviour has been building up for months as Chris and Charity discuss the extent of the situation. It becomes more apparent that Zoe needs urgent medical help, but she does not take kindly to being told she is mentally ill. Having stolen Charity's car keys Zoe takes off, desperate to escape her emotions. Conscious of Zoe's constant references to their past relationship, Charity heads the search for Zoe with one place in mind! As the dust settles there is a clash of consciences as Scott and Chloe tiptoe round each other! Scott apologises to Syd asking him to stay, unaware of his recent advances on Chloe! Having been knocked back by Chloe, Syd spies an easy target in Nicola as she makes her intentions for him clear! Syd seizes the opportunity and invites her back to his, much to the annoyance of Scott and Chloe!

Having difficulty accepting the situation, Chris is torn by Zoe’s behaviour. Having called for medical help Charity is concerned that the route of the problem may be a reaction caused by the combination of alcohol and Zoe's anti depressants. The doctor confirms that they will need a further medical examination, as he is concerned Zoe is not telling him the truth after questioning. The severity of Zoe's condition becomes obvious to Chris. Latisha’s desire to do the right thing backfires as Alan catches her red handed! Nicola has quickly made herself at home at Pear Tree Cottage as the scantily clad visitor cooks breakfast for Syd and herself! It has clearly touched a nerve with Chloe but Scott is highly amused by the display. Later Syd and Scott have a manly chat as Scott tries to prise the gory details out! Syd insists he has no intention to commit. Bonded by the male talk, Scott offers advice on Nicola's entrapment tendencies!

Terry has been forced to baby sit Zoe and is grumpy as he hasn’t had much sleep due to Zoe's non stop pacing! Charity is concerned that they cannot pretend Zoe has the flu forever. Zoe continues to plummet down hill as she stares for hours at the TV flicking the channels endlessly. Unaware of all the fuss around her, Katie is distracted from her Jubilee Queen duties as she thinks she might be pregnant. Desperately needing assurance, Katie questions if Andy will stick by her. Stunned that their plans may have fallen into place so quickly Andy and Katie are suddenly terrified by their actions. They agree to take a test as soon as possible. Marlon is shocked as Tricia’s plans to visit Edith have not so caring intentions!

The villagers are in party mood as they prepare for the Jubilee extravaganza that lies ahead. But 15-year-old Jubilee Queen, Katie, has nerves for a different reason as she is constantly interrupted while trying to take a pregnancy test. She finally finds a moment alone and is filled with mixed emotions as the test proves positive. Katie doesn't have long to digest the news, however, before she is caught out and forced to thrust the pregnancy kit on Donna as she is called for a photograph. Unfortunately, Donna's mum and village gossip Viv rumbles what is going on and Donna is forced to reveal all. As Katie boards the float for her crowning glory, she signals to Andy that the their secret efforts to start a family have been successful.

Brian is still reeling at the news that his precious teenage daughter is pregnant and, clutching at straws, he questions whether she could have made a mistake. But Katie confirms his worst fears and assures him that the positive test result was accurate. Brian can't believe his ears when Katie adds that she did it deliberately to prove how much they love each other. Jack is equally outraged and admonishes Andy for his stupidity and lack of maturity.

Brian and Jack are united in their concern for Andy and Katie, but Brian's notion that Katie should have an abortion is met with horror from his daughter. Katie and Andy are mortified by the suggestion and Andy looks to Jack for support. But Jack is firmly siding with Brian and the youngsters find themselves isolated. Feeling indignant and betrayed, they maintain their desire to have the child and state that nobody can stop them. With an over enthusiastic, yet unhealthy interest in Woodside Cottage, Tricia turns on the charm with the elderly Edith. But Marlon soon realises what is happening and is disgusted by Tricia's treatment of Edith.

The pressure of living at home with Brian is becoming too much for Katie and she arrives at the Sugden's seeking sanctuary. But Jack's dismissive attitude backfires and he succeeds only in driving Andy out of his home too. Diane takes pity on the youngsters and offers to let them stay at the pub – suggesting to Jack that they need time and space to sort out their differences. But as they settle in at The Woolpack, the enormity of the situation hits home and Andy struggles to find the words to comfort a distraught Katie. Diane is on hand to offer some words of wisdom to Katie, but asserts that she is disappointed in Andy and never thought that he could be so irresponsible and selfish. Ashley and Paddy are becoming increasingly frustrated at Chris for refusing to make Zoe seek help.

Zoe discovers Paddy and Chris deep in conversation and immediately misinterprets their unease as proof of a conspiracy. Ashley has a desperate heart to heart with her and begs her to seek help. He quickly senses her fear, however, and realises that desperate measures are called for. He calls her bluff and reassures her that she can discharge herself from the clinic at any time. Paddy is relieved when Zoe agrees but Ashley confesses that he feels he has betrayed Zoe's trust in him by persuading her to book into the clinic under false pretences. Seth is flooded with complaints as Betty-Cam withdrawal sets in! As flowers from a fan arrive,

Seth is chuffed when he receives free grub from Viv as the voyeuristic crowds gather in Café Hope to watch Betty cleaning on the Betty-Cam. Unnerved by a strange feeling of being watched, Betty is confused by passing comments in the village. Edna soon deduces that the webcam is once again live and decides enough is enough! Betty is mortified to discover the truth and wonders whether she can ever face the village again! In the clinic, Zoe vacantly stares at the television with the volume on full blast as she aimlessly flicks through the channels. Aware that the drugs she has been prescribed may have sedated her, Chris and Charity are still disturbed to see Zoe's numbed state.

Degraded by her small-screen experience at the hands of Seth – Betty is out for revenge! As Seth idles away the hours in Café Hope working through fan mail, he is oblivious to the unusual favour that Betty is asking of Len. In full view of the webcam, Betty puts her plan into action and declares her secret lust for Len before kissing him passionately! At Café Hope, the kids erupt in riotous laughter as they witness the uncharacteristic display of affection. Seth is less amused by what he has witnessed! Realising he's been rumbled, Seth finds he is not the only one making a quick exit and finds Betty in the street with her bags packed! Meanwhile, Zoe’s paranoia is building and she warns Ashley that Paddy is in on a conspiracy to poison her.

Concerned about Zoe’s conspiracy talk, Ashley confides in Paddy about her bizarre claims. Chris is alarmed that his sister's mental state is in decline and becomes increasingly anxious when psychiatrists question whether the illness will be reversible. He soon has more important things to worry about, however, when Terry reveals that Zoe has discharged herself from the clinic! Chris starts to fear the worst when he discovers that Zoe is missing without a penny to her name and the hours are beginning to pass.

Chris hasn’t been able to sleep as the hunt for Zoe goes on through the night. His normally cool exterior begins to crack as they start to run out places to look and Chris is compelled to express his true fears for Zoe. Patiently, Charity listens as Chris opens up for their first time about the moment when Zoe knowingly shot their half-brother, Liam. Convinced that the guilt had caused a permanent rift between Zoe and himself, Chris confesses to Charity that he is to blame! Meanwhile, in an alleyway in nearby Hotten, a crumpled body lies undiscovered – ravaged by a storm. At Edith’s house Tricia and Marlon lay on a celebratory spread. Grateful for their kindness and generosity, Edith is taken by the couple and is keen to discuss the house.

After two nights searching and still no sign of Zoe, Chris is tearing his hair out with worry. Terry confirms that police will start checking the hospitals but this does little to console Chris. Having slept rough in an alleyway for two nights, a dishevelled and disorientated Zoe arrives back at Mill Brook Cottage. Confused, she realises she has no keys to get in. As Zoe tries to climb in through a window, she is discovered by a stunned Seth. He is alarmed by her appearance and, aware that she has been missing, invites her in. Realising that Seth poses no threat, a cautious Zoe opens up to Seth about the conspiracy against her. Adult life is proving tough as cracks begin to appear in Andy’s confidence in facing parenthood.

It's the day after Father's Day and newly expectant father Andy begins to regret the consequences of his relationship with Katie. The reality of being a parent by this time next year begins to hit home, as he considers the bigger picture. He is too young for parenthood and he's beginning to wish they hadn't planned the pregnancy. Determined to overcome a series of knock backs, he plucks up the courage to ask Viv for a job. True to form, Viv isn't sympathetic and sends him packing with a flea in his ear! Her harsh put down is the last straw, as Andy realises the future looks bleak and he has some serious thinking to do! Jack has opened his eyes to impending fatherhood and this weighs heavily on his mind. Jack has also refused to help him find work and has, in effect, turned his back on his son.
