S1 7.9 🥨

What is the most disappointing about Yoing Sherlock is that it's actually insanely good for the first half of the show. First four to five episodes, you're in solid hands. But then the last three-ish feel insanely overstuffed (despite being 48 minutes average) while still being a tad rushed with it's execution. The series starts out as a detective case, but later turns into conspiracy spy thriller in the Fench Revolution?! Don't get me wrong, it's ALL really fun... But it gets a little crazy and convoluted some. Not to mention, the opportunity to do something spectacular with James Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes but decided to opt for an entirely different answer. Maybe, that was the point? The "obvious answer isn't the answer" type thing? But if so, that's also dumb. Opting for a family driven spy drama over maintaining a new detective whodunit/whosduinit. In the end, I do like the series, but it's one that I think does need work. Guy Ritchie isn't the best writer, but I do love his stuff and this is such a fun ride for the first five episodes that it's excusable to a degree. By the way, I do not mind that Sherlock is hot. WHY IS THAT A COMPLAINT?! He can even act, so, DOUBLE-AWESOME! James is also perfectly cast! I can't wait to see what they do with him in season 2.
