After a meeting with the bank, Karl discovers he is in financial trouble now that he is not a working doctor. Sarah's placed in a state of panic when a letter from Steven arrives. Helen starts to have doubts about seeing Harold.

Karl faces a financial dilemma when the bank refuses his loan. Harold refuses to find out about his past and Danni gets caught up in Sarah's cunning plan.

Jo and Mal have an enlightening day at the races. Steven isn't fooled by Sarah's little plan and Darren decides to confess his true feelings to Libby before he loses her for good.

Hannah, Jon, Toadie and Billy come across an injured young dog that is in need of a home. Toadie's mice family is discovered by Karl and they are ordered out of the house. Brett still has some work to do in changing Darren's attitude toward Lou.

Jon and Ruth continue to unpack and find their feet in the Martin House. Luke is very apprehensive about speaking to the school kids about his recent experiences with cancer. Helen is absolutely thrilled to receive a call from Madge.

Ruth is surprised when she receives a mysterious phone call, Darren and Jo have a serious bonding session. Harold and Madge are reunited at last.

Jon is caught in a lie, but he covers to save his secret job. Brett makes himself first priority and threatens to leave Erinsborough. Harold runs from his past despite Madge's best efforts.

Ruth discovers Jon's late nights are caused by young love. Madge decides to leave, until Harold decides to stay. Danni may be too smart for her own good, or will Luke be her match?

Darren's turns over a new leaf and extends the hand of peace. Brett and Danni leave Ramsay Street. When Billy has a shocking day at school, he takes his feelings out on Karl.

Karl decides he must return to medicine but will his confidence let him? Sarah resolves her relationship with Steven. Toadie's infatuation with Sarah leads to a potentially violent situation.

Toadie's efforts in protecting Sarah from Steven fall flat. Ruth is furious with Debbie for leaving Helen alone whilst cooking. Philip is shocked to discover Jon and Hannah are supposedly going out together.

Mal's efforts to redirect Jo's romantic interests in him backfire. Karl's devastated after he discovers he can't go back to medicine, even if he wanted to. Hannah and Phil have an almighty argument over Hannah's imaginary boyfriend.

Mal tries to put Jo off going out with him. Ruth's kids are driving her crazy. Darren tells Lou to stop emotionally blackmailing him.

Darren decides to move into number twenty-two with Marlene and Lou. Ruth's daughter, Anne, decides to move back home. Harold's memory of Lou and their rivalry returns.

Toadie writes an anonymous love letter to Sarah in the forlorn hope of winning her heart. Susan attempts to cheer Karl up after the coronial inquiry into Cheryl's death. Harold and Madge rekindle an old flame.

Mal and Catherine discover a mutual attraction, but will they ever get together? Harold and Madge start to fall in love all over again. Karl catches Toadie out and threatens his mice breeding scheme.

Lance breaks Hannah's heart - but is Hannah ready to let him go? Toadie fights a battle to keep his mice, but democracy decides their fate. Phil witnesses damage being done to Karl's car - will he spill the beans on a secretive Lance.

Fate plays a hand in Mal and Catherine's romance - but will they rise to the occasion? Susan can't endure any more of Karl's whining and demands some personal recognition.

Lance offers to work off the damage done to Karl's car. Malcolm finally tells Joanna he's not interested in a relationship. Madge has romantic intentions for Harold.

Madge anticipates a romantic night with Harold, but is disappointed. Toadie employs a new tactic to win Sarah's affections. Libby and Darren go camping but Libby isn't sure that she's the outdoors type.

Darren and Libby's disastrous trip has a happy ending. Madge and Harold get fed up with each other. Toadie tells a huge lie regarding his involvement with Sarah.

Madge feels she will never get back to a normal relationship with Harold. Lou offers Mal and Darren a job renovating Chez Chez - but their squabbling could jeopardise the contract.

Toadie is in deep trouble because of his crush on Sarah. When Mal and Catherine kiss, Jo is definitely not happy about the blossoming romance.

Jo is unable to deal with Catherine and Mal's budding romance and makes a big decision regarding her future. Hannah and Anne cook up a recipe for disaster. Lance is plagued by money problems and is offered an easy way out.
