Sparks fly between Paige and Brennan, and they can’t help but flirt when she invites him to her 21st birthday party. Tyler comes to Harold’s soon to collect Paige’s contribution to the weekly target for Michelle. As Paige counts out the money, Tyler reveals Mark texted him about her party. He susses out whether they have any chance of being more than friends, but Paige is clear.

After meeting with the specialist, battle lines emerge between Joshua and Daniel when they disagree on the merits of risky in-utero surgery. Daniel is adamant they stick with the standard treatment of frequent pre-natal monitoring while Joshua is keen to investigate in-utero surgery operations in America. Daniel thinks it is too risky, and is surprised when Amber agrees with Joshua.

After his honest talk with Amber, Daniel is left unsure where he stands in his relationship. He confides in an unlikely person – Terese. Drawing parallels from her own relationship, Terese admits she too has felt like an outsider with Brad and his other children. Sticking to his guns, Daniel sides with the parents and insists going to the US for surgery is a bad idea – devastating Amber.

Josh is determined to provide for his baby by selling as many of Forrest’s supplements as he can. But that resolve is rocked when he hears Kyle has collapsed after taking his products. At Imogen’s urging, he asks Forrest about it. Forrest insists it’s probably a coincidence, but Josh demands he take that entire batch off the streets just in case - he doesn’t want anyone else getting hurt.

With Kyle in hospital, Amy is forced to work on her day off and is thankful when Sonya and Toadie offer to babysit. Jimmy isn’t rapt – Amy promised she’d help him with his science project. Sonya takes up the mantle but just as she and Jimmy commence work, she’s called away by Brennan.

Tyler confesses the details of his involvement with Dimato to Brennan - carefully leaving Paige out of it. Brennan feels betrayed and angry that he and Tyler have actually been working against each other for months. He arrests Tyler and takes him to the station. Aaron wants Brennan to soften his stance and act as a brother as well as a cop. But hurt Brennan maintains his hard line.

It’s a big day for Paige, she’s turning twenty-one, but she doesn’t feel like she has a lot to celebrate. She’s not with the man she wants, her birthday is over-shadowed by the stress of Tyler’s arrest, and her adoptive father doesn’t even know where she lives anymore. On the verge of cancelling, her family rally to convince her why this day is worth celebrating – because she’s amazing.

Paige is shocked that her mother has gatecrashed her 21st birthday party. After some awkwardness, Mary offers to pick up the bill for the night and Lauren and Brad have to fight to claim their right to pay for Paige’s party. Brad sends Terese home so he can stay with Lauren to comfort Paige, and Terese is left out in the cold again.

As her plan to reunite Paige and Mary runs off the rails, Terese manipulates Brad into helping get things back on track. Summoning Paige and Lauren to a meeting, it’s quickly revealed he’s reached out to Mary and Paige baulks. Lauren is also concerned; however, after a heartfelt plea from Brad they sit down and it’s then that the truth of Paige’s fraught relationship with Mary comes out.

Shocked to learn Amber and Daniel have broken up, Imogen can’t quite believe they’re over. But Amber’s certain they’re done, explaining they haven’t been anything good since Daniel found out that she slept with Josh. Curious, Imogen wonders if Amber’s having feelings for Josh because he’s the baby’s dad? Amber assures her it’s got nothing to do with him.

Brennan’s still being tough on Tyler... but when he learns the police are intending to offer Tyler a deal to go undercover and bring down Dimato's whole operation, in return for a reduced sentence, he suddenly becomes protective. Trying to talk Tyler out of taking the deal, he gets Toadie on board to help, but it's too late...

Brennan and Toadie prepare Tyler for a meeting with Michelle at the garage, Brennan fitting him out with a listening device as they talk him through the sting. Eager to make amends with his older brother, Tyler is determined to get them the admissible evidence they need to incriminate Michelle.

There’s tension in the Rebecchi household when it becomes clear Jimmy doesn’t like spending time with Nell. When the two seem to fight, Sonya and Toadie are quick to assume Jimmy is responsible, while Amy and Kyle defend him. Later on, Nell bites Toadie and Jimmy eventually admits that Nell has been biting him too, but he’s been keeping quiet about it because he didn’t want to cause trouble.

Racing home to tell Josh about what’s happened with Forrest, Imogen runs into Daniel, who convinces her to come back with him, to make sure Forrest is okay. Together they head back to “the scene of the crime” only to find that Forrest has gone. Imogen’s relieved – that means he’s recovered from being knocked out by her. Now she just has to get home to talk to Josh…

Paige is stunned to learn from Tyler that he’s engaged in a sting operation with the cops to capture Dimato. Aware that her involvement will be public once Dimato is caught, exposing both Bailey’s actions and her own to their loved ones, Paige is distracted and distressed. Encouraged by Terese, Mary invites Paige to spend some time together and the two wind up doing a Jewellery making class.

Genuinely torn over Mary’s offer of a trip to Singapore, Paige’s mind is made up during an exchange with Brennan, who unwittingly reminds her what she’s going to lose when Dimato is caught and the truth comes out. Paige informs Lauren and Brad that she’s leaving. While secretly against it, Lauren wills herself to encourage Paige to reconnect with her mother.

Reeling from Paige’s revelation, Brennan accepts her help to find Tyler. They head to an abandoned carpark, where Dimato is holding court with Tyler and the rest of his gang, and they wait for back-up to arrive. Meanwhile Tyler takes a risk and tries to escape with evidence of Dimato’s crimes, but he’s caught red-handed.

Missing Naomi now she’s officially with Paul, Sheila tries to guilt-trip her into coming home for dinner. Learning she’s got plans with Moneybags, Sheila forces Paul’s hand and demands he cancel their date – she needs Naomi-time. Paul reluctantly obliges, but Naomi sniffs a rat - and she’s aghast to learn this isn’t the first time Sheila’s interfered in their relationship.

Terrified Jimmy’s going to blab her secret to Paul and Naomi during the Canning/Robinson dinner, Sheila gives in to his every demand for cake and snacks, annoying Amy and embarrassing Naomi. The heat on Sheila increases when Paul pulls her up and reminds her that this dinner was meant to be about her proving she’s on board with Naomi and Paul’s relationship – so why is acting crazy?

Severely rattled by her impulsive action of shaking Jimmy, Sheila is horrified and only wants to apologise, but furious Amy won’t listen. Implored by Kyle to give her version of events, a frazzled Sheila admits to being blackmailed by Jimmy, but when asked to divulge the secret that Jimmy read, Sheila refuses. Although Naomi backs her mother regardless, Sheila’s reticence frustrates Kyle.

Mark investigates a threat against Paige and discovers that the person who broke into Number 32's backyard was not Jayden but Joey Dimato. Paige's parents decide to keep her under surveillance until the situation is resolved. Amy offers to babysit Nell so Sonya and Toadie can go to the movies, but they decide to try and sort out Nell's behaviour first.

As Imogen stormed out of the room in anger, Daniel was left feeling confused and frustrated. He couldn't understand why Imogen was so upset with him for kissing her. To him, it was a natural progression of their relationship. But Imogen saw it differently. She felt that Daniel had crossed a line and was taking advantage of her.

As Lauren and Amber continue their conversation about Brad, Lauren admits that she has feelings for him but insists that they haven't acted on them. Amber expresses her concern that Brad is still married to Terese, and Lauren acknowledges that it's a complicated situation. Lauren reveals that she has been avoiding Brad because of her feelings, but Amber encourages her to be honest with him.

At Lassiter's complex, Paul gets nervous when Sheila mentions their romantic history, and he quickly leaves. Meanwhile, Naomi visits Susan to request a reference from Terese. Susan mentions that Brad has "feelings" and Naomi becomes concerned. Later, Tyler, Mark, and Nate visit Karl for his birthday party. Susan is unhappy when they start playing ball games inside the house.
