At Erinsborough High, Ben introduces himself to Elly Conway, the deputy principal. She tells him that the school has a strict policy on enrolment and he will need to provide proof of residency. Ben is disappointed but determined to make it work. At the Men's Shed, Josh takes Aaron's advice and commits to dancing, even going as far as creating a stage name for himself.

With the amnio scheduled for next week, Amber is busy making preparations in case she and Josh need to go to the US. Lauren believes she is pre-empting the decision, but seeing Amber’s dedication, agrees to give her some money for the baby, to be used any way she likes. Brad and Terese are likewise concerned after learning Josh has taken to exotic dancing to raise funds.

When Nate learns that Tyler is waiting for things to happen with Paige, Nate encourages him to be more assertive. Buoyed, Tyler gives her a boxing bag as a token of his feelings and, just as he’s about to tell her how he feels, Brennan interrupts and Tyler learns he and Paige are a couple. A heartbroken Tyler leaves with his secret intact.

Susan and Karl are increasingly anxious about Ben disappearing from school - and Nate, after noticing Tyler is also AWOL, decides to lead the search (with Aaron) in the hope of preventing trouble for his mate. Nate is all too aware that Tyler has discovered the new relationship status of Brennan and Paige and fears he has gone off the rails.

Russell Brennan, patriarch of the Brennan family, has arrived to a less than joyous reception from his sons. Aaron doesn’t want a bar of his father, and is furious with Mark for having invited him here. Mark is defensive – he didn’t issue an invite, he simply asked his father for advice on dealing with Tyler! Tyler, meanwhile, jumps on his bike and leaves town.

Amy and Kyle both feel guilty after their “moment”, and Amy takes the radical step of resigning from her job and deciding to leave Erinsborough. Unaware of her change of plans, Paul breaks the news to Jimmy that they’ll be staying, only for Amy to swiftly correct him. Not wanting to lose his daughter again, Paul questions first her, then Kyle.

Having seen Terese take a bottle of wine from the stock room on the webcam the night before, Sheila queries her about it. When Terese brushes her off dismissively, Sheila decides to check the Willis garbage bin for evidence - and finds it: an empty bottle matching the one that was taken. But Brad surprises her, forcing her to make an excuse for rooting around in their recyclables.

Josh declines Sue Parker’s indecent proposal and turns his attention to more important matters; that being the results of Amber’s amnio test which will decide whether or not their baby will have a fatal diagnosis. Thankfully, all is well, and bonded by their mutual relief, Josh asks Amber out for coffee. Amber accepts, but when it comes time to pay, Josh is embarrassed.

Paige is shocked to be confronted by Joey Dimato, who is furious that he manipulated her into betraying his uncle. Menaced by Joey, Paige manages to dial Brennan out of sight and alert him to Joey’s presence – but will Brennan make it in time to save her? Or will Paige be able to save herself?

The morning after Imogen's first "sleepover" with a boy, both she and Daniel are loved up to the max, which Paul's happy to see... When Paul shares the news with Terese, she's taken aback – but later tells Brad she's sure Imogen will let them in on her secret when she gets home. Imogen, however, wants to keep in the love bubble as much as they can.

Naomi is surprised to learn that Paul is not only prepared to overlook Amy’s costly mistake with the linen company, but has deliberately shielded her from knowing what happened, instead praising his daughter for her great work so far. Hating to see a stressed Paul forced to cover for Amy’s gaffe, Naomi can’t help but be honest with Amy about her erroneous email and the damage it’s done.

Mark is unable to help Tyler fix his bike engine so Russell offers to lend a hand instead. Nervous at the prospect of being alone with his father but unable to say why in front of his brothers, Tyler is forced to accept his dad’s offer. Tyler is tense as they work, and in his distraction, knocks over the oil tin. Tyler automatically prepares for Russell to lose his temper and hit him.

Having slipped off the jumping castle, Toadie is still unconscious as Karl arrives, immediately taking charge and stabilising him. Close to losing it, Sonya goes with them and she’s relieved as Toadie seems to wake up at the hospital. However, her relief is short lived as Toadie confesses the truth - he can’t feel his legs.

Despite Paul’s attempts to shield her from the media fallout following the jumping castle accident, Naomi still feels guilty for what happened to Toadie and is relieved to learn that he doesn’t blame her for his injuries. When Amy mentions that the press and the council are looking for someone to blame, Naomi worries about having done everything by the book and grills Kyle.

As a guilty Naomi laments the fact that she is liable for Toadie’s accident, Paul moves into damage control, engaging his lawyer, Tim Collins, to fish for information from the Rebecchi family over whether they intend to look into the matter and sue. Sonya finds Tim dodgy and later questions Naomi over why he visited them. Naomi covers, but is appalled at Paul’s actions.

Josh trades texts with his mummy blogger friend (Amber). He’s stunned when Amber informs him she’s witnessing her mother and her old boyfriend flirting. When Josh sees Terese have yet another go at Brad and Brad walk out, instead of supporting Terese, he asks her to sit down. He needs to tell her something about her marriage.

Josh tells Terese she’s ruining her marriage, suggesting if she keeps it up Brad might go elsewhere, but ultimately doesn’t reveal about Amber’s text. A stung Terese seeks solace in Paul’s company, having a break from Alcohol Free August. After a wine she mellows and starts to appreciate Brad’s good points. She goes home and spots Brad’s wood carving, and decides to join him.

While Josh feels worse by the minute about “catfishing” Amber, Terese and Brad clash over what happened at the school concert dress rehearsal. Terese gets defensive and refuses to apologise, which only makes Brad angrier. The next morning, after Terese spends the night on the couch, Josh encourages his mum to sort things out with Brad.

Despite Mark’s attempt to prevent the relationship from blossoming, Sheila and Russell take things to the next level, both feeling as though they’ve found someone special. Russell admits to Sheila that he’d like to stick around, but if he does, he needs an income. Sheila suggests he buy the Garage, even offering to pitch in and help him finance it.

Meanwhile, Mark admits to Paige he’s compelled to investigate the validity of the information, despite the repercussions it may have for his father and everyone else involved. He tells Sheila he knows about Gary’s money, that he’s going to look into re-investigating the Ezra assault and go after Paul – but if Sheila hands in the money she has a good chance of not being prosecuted.

While the boys are having fun with remote control car races on Ramsay Street, Paige decides to pay them back for suggesting she become their ‘grid girl’. As Nate and Aaron share a moment of URST over the remote control and Tyler bonds cautiously with his father, Paige rallies the women and suggests a race-off between the guys and girls.

Brad confronts Terese over her drinking but she is adamant she doesn’t have a problem. Imogen picks up on the tension and is worried. Josh has his own private concerns about his parents’ marriage (aware of his dad’s moment with Lauren). Together, they come up with a plan to test out their parents.

Urged on by some meddling by Angie, Toadie decides to sue the council for compensation, knowing full well that it’ll mean the end of Naomi’s career. He’s sorry – but the bottom line is, he’s got to do whatever it takes to look after his family. Sonya’s not happy, and worries that it’ll take Toadie’s focus off what’s most important – his recovery.

Paul’s frustrated as Naomi continues to dodge his phone calls asking if she still has feelings for Toadie. When he learns she’s signed up to organise Toadie’s benefit, Paul fears the worst and tracks her down to the hospital where she’s visiting Toadie – determined to find out the truth. When he arrives, Naomi is upfront – she doesn’t love Toadie anymore but she does admire what a good man he is.
