Julie and Lou end up at loggerheads over the car yard when Julie tries to prove her worth as a saleswoman. Rick's troubles go from bad to worse when he learns that a large-scale rescue operation is launched following the discovery of a body at sea. Pam faces up to her worst fears and takes the plunge, while the all-male poker night gets an uninvited guest.

Philip's feud with Julie begins to have a serious effect on Hannah who keeps getting caught in the crossfire, and Doug tries to play matchmaker between Lou and Cheryl. Rick gets a shock when Cathy arrives in Erinsborough and issues an ultimatum.

Cathy tries to bribe Rick into accepting her ultimatum, and Phoebe finds it hard to look after Stephen while keeping the coffee shop running. Darren comes down heavy with Rick, warning him to stay away from Debbie, while Hannah's tantrums cause havoc in the Martin house.

Doug and Pam are learn they are being audited by the tax office, and Wayne tries to win Gaby back. Brad decides it's time for a radical change in his life to avoid being constantly nagged by Lauren, and accepts Harvey's offer of a job on a cruise ship. Ned drops a bombshell on Doug when he discovers discrepancies in his accounting

An infuriated Pam takes on the might of the tax office, and Rick clashes with Lauren after finding a home with Lou. Philip threatens Julie with legal action if he is denied access to Hannah, and Debbie learns the truth about Darren - just as her wayward friend moves into Ramsay Street, will she be led astray?

Beth lashes out at Annalise for spreading rumours about her relationship with Philip. Meanwhile, Rick can't make anyone see how dangerous Darren is, and he infuriates Debbie by accusing Darren of stealing Wayne's wallet. Phoebe reaches the end of her tether as a result of the constant pressures of looking after Stephen.

Philip and Julie attempt to reconcile their differences and appear to be giving their marriage another go, while Stephen and Phoebe find they have a lot to thank Wayne for when he helps them to forget their recent troubles. Meanwhile Wayne and Gaby's attempt a reconciliation goes off the rails.

Philip and Julie's truce is short-lived, leaving Debbie and Hannah devastated. Lou does his best to resist Cheryl's amorous advances, while Lauren and Rick try to liven things up with a practical joke. Beth agonises over whether to accept a date with Philip, and Doug anxiously awaits mews from the taxman - will it be good news?

Hannah gets herself into bad company following her parents' split, and a mysterious French chef applies for a job at Lassiter's. Cheryl tries a new approach in an effort to win Lou's affections, while Pam and Doug financial difficulties continue and they search for a way to meet their tax bill.

Annalise tries a spot of blackmail with Mark, while Doug's brush with danger forces him to make a difficult business decision. Annalise and Gaby battle to gain the attentions of amorous new head chef Marcel. Debbie ignores Rick's advice about the dangers of associating with Darren.

Stephen ignores Pam's advice about the insurance money. A conscience-stricken Doug attempts to find Beth another job after she loses her apprenticeship, and Debbie rebels against her image as "Miss Perfect". Lou is taken by surprise when Cheryl invites him to a dinner.

Rick begins to panic when he learns Darren has more than shoplifting planned for Debbie, and Stephen becomes withdrawn after his confrontation with brother Mark brings back memories of the past. Lauren becomes concerned over Lou's relationship with Cheryl, and Julie despairs as Hannah becomes disruptive at school.

The stress from her marriage breakdown finally gets to Julie and she takes out her frustrations on a customer at the car yard. Stephen's brother Mark makes himself very unpopular in Ramsay Street when he starts a brawl with Wayne. Philip and Beth's relationship turns passionate after a day out with Debbie and Hannah.

Annalise causes a stir when she applies for a job at a stockbroking firm setting her sights on an impossible goal. The future looks uncertain for Philip and Beth, and Gaby undertakes some market research for the new look Waterhole, but her plans provoke a mixed response. Julie learns about Philip's relationship with Beth and makes a desperate plea for help.

Doug is not happy when he is forced to take on a new apprentice to help redecorate the Waterhole. Philip goes to pieces when he discovers Julie's failed suicide attempt, leaving Beth to make an important decision on his behalf. Phoebe takes the psychiatrist's advice and desperately struggles to keep Mark away from Stephen.

Ramsay Street Romeo Mark's culinary skills and ethnic background are put to the test when a famous food critic dines at Lassiters. Rick is devastated to learn the scheming Darren, not content with stealing his girlfriend Debbie away from him, is determined to take his job as well. Helen gets a shock when she returns and discovers a lot of things have changed in her absence.

Rick continues his crusade against Darren, and enlists Wayne's help when he thinks he's finally got some dirt on the troublemaker. Cheryl offers to take Lou on a romantic cruise, but his reply brings tears to her eyes. An encounter with a famous jockey leads Lauren to forget troubles with Brad, and Doug makes a risky decision that places his job in jeopardy.

Doug's employment prospects begin to look bleak when he is given an important ultimatum after sacking his apprentice. Lauren's guilt gets in the way of love and she is forced to make a quick decision when a new man enters her life. Helen gives Beth some advice after hearing the gossip surrounding her relationship with a married man.

Philip says an emotional farewell before leaving for the outback to try and sort his life out. Mark starts to show an interest in Gaby - much to the distress of Annalise, while Darren persuades Debbie to take a big risk. Phoebe and Mark get to know each other, and Stephen's recovery chances start to look hopeful again. Rick's driving lesson becomes a rescue mission when he spots Lou's stolen car.

Doug is given a warning when he tells Rod Baker of his worries about the safety standards at the building site. Rick seems ready to reveal who was behind the theft of Lou's car - until Darren threatens to implicate Debbie as his accomplice. Nick's recklessness puts Hannah's life in danger.

Rivalry between Annalise and Gaby soon escalates when Annalise sets her sights on Mark, but who are his set on? The search for Hannah begins in earnest, and Doug finds his job in jeopardy when he complains about safety standards at the building site.

Philip's plans for a reconciliation are thwarted by Julie. Doug and Beth face an uncertain future, while Connor does his level best to make sure Lauren chooses him over Brad.
