Aaron, meanwhile, is determined to find the man who rescued him from a potentially dangerous situation. Ever the romantic, he instantly decides that this mysterious saviour is his one true soulmate. Tyler, pining over Paige, is forced to play wingman as Aaron clashes with Nate, who pours scorn on Aaron’s rosy dreams.

Joshua discovers from Imogen that Amber attended a medical appointment without him. When he tackles Amber about missing the scan, she informs him she feels no obligation to tell him anything and reminds him that since the catfishing incident, she no longer trusts him. Amber is annoyed at Imogen for spilling the scan information to Joshua.

Brad and Lauren spend an easy afternoon prepping their jam for sale, their rapport clear. However there’s a definite spark between them as Brad tells her working with her is part of his motivation for helping out. Meanwhile, Daniel spots Terese in Off Air when she’s meant to be at an AA meeting, and tells Imogen. Terese goes from Off Air to Susan’s only to find Lauren there.

Haunted by guilt, Lauren is prepared for Terese’s fury, but instead is met with a humble request for help finding a counsellor for Terese’s drinking problem. Lauren calls Brad, they can’t do this today. Lauren convinces Brad that keeping the truth from Terese will protect her and prevent her being derailed from rehabilitation. They agree to wait a day.

In the aftermath of Terese’s discovery of Brad and Lauren’s night together, the scandal blows wide open as Terese angrily informs all of their kids. Returning from their camping trip, they arrive just in time to witness Brad and Terese in a stand-off. Trying to keep a lid on their simmering issues, the parents have a sit-down with Joshua and Imogen where Brad haltingly explains what happened.

Nate is amused but not thrilled when Aaron offers himself as his man-slave for a week – ostensibly to make up for hurting him with Tai Chi, but in reality to try and woo him. He quickly becomes a real nuisance to Aaron, and tries to get rid of him by embarrassing him. But Aaron sticks like glue, insisting that he’s here to fulfil Nate’s wildest fantasies.

After slamming on the brakes and fearing she hit Nell, Sonya is relieved to see her daughter is safe – but it could have been a lot worse. Wanting to protect Toadie, she tells him that Nell was never in any danger and Toadie is relieved. But when a determined Toadie regains his independence by wheeling himself outside he sees Nell”s ball and grows suspicious.

Completely thrown by Paul’s marriage proposal, and secretly feeling panicked and rushed, Naomi feels pressured to say yes. Nevertheless, she manages to convince Paul to keep their engagement under wraps, out of consideration for Kyle and his marriage breakdown. However, the opportunity arises for Naomi to tell Paul the truth about her feelings.

After walking out on Terese and Imogen for their negative talk about Brad, Josh asks Courtney for a place to stay. Courtney happily agrees, but begins to regret it when Josh’s incessant talk about his family troubles starts to drag her down. When she realises that Josh has moved out of home, she promptly ends the relationship – the fun they had is over.

The reveal that Russ used to hurt Tyler reverberates through the Brennan clan. Mark is especially in shock, realising that he hasn’t been there for his younger brother. When Russ finally apologises to Tyler, he doesn’t seem to understand the implications of what he’s done and it’s not until he receives some very frank words from Sheila that he realises the true damage of his actions.

Sheila’s heartbroken after letting Russ go, but Naomi and Kyle think she did the right thing – she couldn’t have gone with him knowing about his anger issues. Brave-facing, Sheila agrees and thinks it’s time to focus on the exciting times ahead for Paul and Naomi. Kyle looks on confused, forcing Naomi to tell him about the engagement.

Having witnessed Kyle making a move on Amy, Paul’s concerned. She assures him Kyle knows he was out of line, and the matter is closed. But when Paul runs into Kyle, he can’t help giving him a serve. Kyle feels awful, and is worried his actions will make things awkward when he attends Jimmy’s school “Buddy Day” tomorrow. They decide Paul should go instead.

Sensing Mark’s down about his father, Sonya invites him for lunch and suggests he bring Paige so she and Toadie can get to know her better. Conversation at the lunch swiftly turns to the dry topics of real estate and superannuation, and Paige finds herself in an agony of boredom. She sends Tyler a sneaky SOS text, asking him to call and rescue her.

When Imogen spies Naomi doing the walk of shame from the Willis house, she’s appalled knowing Josh slept with her. Faced with his sister’s accusations, a guilty Josh admits the truth, but urges Imogen not to tell anyone (having promised Naomi he’d keep it a secret). Imogen’s torn. She knows this information could destroy Paul and Naomi’s engagement.

Naomi's fear that Paul will be furious about her indiscretion with Josh proves unfounded, as Paul displays complexity and maturity in forgiving her. His love and understanding is appreciated - and, to Sheila's relief, Naomi and Paul end up celebrating their "non-engagement" with family drinks. Daniel and Imogen, who have had tension over her decision not to tell him about Naomi's infidelity.

Nate and Aaron are on a high from their successful first date, but when “The Heat” performs at The Waterhole for a hen’s party, Nate sees a very different side of Aaron, and wonders if he’s made a mistake trying to date someone who’s so vastly different from him.

Dreading going home to Ballarat, Ben’s buoyed when he meets the weird and wonderful Piper Willis. The pair bond when Ben agrees to help her test the kindness of Erinsborough’s residents for her vlog. Using Tyler’s dirt bike, the pair set up a “broken down” scenario. But when Brad catches them in the act, he shuts down the experiment.

Tyler’s gutted when he realises Ben hasn’t locked the garage properly, which leaves him liable for everything taken and his job on the line. Downloading to Paige, she sympathises, and suggests they search for the person responsible themselves, by thinking like a criminal. Using ‘MyStuffForSale’, they find Tyler’s bikes which leads them to the seller.

Amy’s suss when her ex, Liam, announces he’s got a new sales job and wants to spend time with his boy. Jimmy’s thrilled, abandoning Kyle to bond with his dad, leaving Kyle feeling on the outer. Later, Kyle checks in on Amy, wondering how she’s coping. Amy admits she’s doesn’t know what to think – Jimmy’s happy to see his dad, but Liam’s not very reliable.

Sonya had noticed some unusual behavior in Lucas lately, especially after Vanessa had become evasive about how he could afford to buy back the garage. She had a nagging suspicion that Lucas was gambling again, and it was starting to worry her. Toadie, Lucas's lifelong Gamblers Anonymous sponsor, advised Sonya to talk to him about her concerns.At the garage, Sonya's suspicions were confirmed.

The characters discuss the compatibility of Imogen and Daniel, who are experiencing tension due to Imogen seeking a reference from him. Paul comments that differences in relationships can work out, as he and Naomi are different from each other. Piper believes that relationships that last are where people share the same values and interests.

There are multiple plotlines at play. Firstly, Liam is pitching his hand sanitisers to Lassiter's, and Amy questions Terese about Liam's meeting. Terese reveals that Liam organised the meeting himself and that she quite likes his ideas. Liam and Amy then go for drinks together, reminiscing about old times.

Imogen sat on the couch, frowning as she complained to Daniel about her sister's strange behavior since coming home from Canada. "She's been so distant, and she's always on her phone. It's like she doesn't even want to be here," she sighed. Daniel nodded sympathetically.

Toadie delivers the good news to Josh that the CCTV footage has cleared his name. Conrad was caught red-handed placing the illegal peptides in his bag, which exonerated Josh of any wrongdoing. Josh is grateful to Naomi for discovering the footage and offers to babysit for Sonya in return. Josh is relieved to have his name cleared and can finally move on from the ordeal.
