KWAN-CHEK is asked to fulfill a difficult job. He is seriously beaten, but succeeds. YIM-KWAN offers big money to him if he kills BIN. KWAN-CHEK attacks BIN. MAN-WAI is also there. She is injured trying to save BIN. When the police investigates the case, both remain silent about who the attacker is. YUET-YUE learns about the attack and pleads with BIN to let go of KWAN-CHEK. BIN is greatly moved to see how MAN-WAI cares for him. They both declare affection for each other. KWAN-CHEK hides in Macau, under YIM-KWAN's arrangement. After some time, he insists on coming back.

YIM-KWAN spuds the news that KWAN-CHEK is back to Hong Kong. At the same time, he sends his people to save him when he is attacked by BIN's people. KWAN-CHEK is grateful to YIM-KWAN and decides to help him beat HONG-KWAI and CHEUK. KWAN-CHEK attacks CHEUK, but claims that he is under HONG-KWAI's instructions. CHEUK decides to have HONG-KWAI killed, disregarding BIN's advice. WAI-KIT returns to Hong Kong. On the plane, he comes to know FONG MAN-YING. Both are impressed by each other. WAI-KIT reports to his boss. He is given the case of HONG-KWAI's murder. KWAN-CHEK privately arranges drug deals with a Thai Syndicate. During transaction, they are attacked.

KWAN-CHEK successfully beats off the robbers who comes to rob the drugs. He becomes highly valued and respected in his gang. YUET-YUE learns that KWAN-CHEK has involved in the underworld activities and is greatly distressed. She retorts KWAN-CHEK, who leaves the house in anger. WAI-KIT starts investigating the murder of HONG-KWAI. He tries to illicit information from TAM-CHO, but is refused. KWAN-CHEK forces TAM-CHO to cooperate with him. TAM-CHO is to record down as evidence BIN's crimes. Before he can get to BIN, TAM-CHO is interrogated by AH TING. AH TING beats him up and threatens him to tell the truth. TAM records down their conversation.

The cassette tape falls into the hands of KWAN-CHEK, who uses the tape to force AH TING to co-operate with him to beat down BIN. TAM-CHO gets cured but he has lost his memories. TZE-WAH is grieved. AH TING interferes with BIN's night club business, causing great disturbances. CHEUK is agitated, and decides to show the police what he can do. BIN advises him to avoid conflicts with the police, but to no avail. Depressed, TZE-WAH pours out his feelings towards YUET-YUE. Surprised, YUET-YUE candidly tells him that they can only be friends. TZE-WAH knows that YUET-YUE actually loves WAI-KIT. He talks to WAI about it. Surprised, WAI explains to YUET-YUE that they can only be friends. YUET-YUE leaves with a broken heart. All these are witnessed by FONG MAN-YING.

TZE-WAH is lonely and depressed. He is giving up himself. YEE-LING tries to comfort him. TZE-WAH learns from KWAN-CHEK that his father was beaten by AH TING. He decides to revenge, and is only stopped by WAI-KIT and YEE-LING in time. To revenge against AH TING, TZE-WAH decides to join CHEUK. BIN does not want to see TZE-WAH gets off the right track. He arranges him to help in the straight businesses. WAI-KIT is upset that BIN let TZE-WAH stays in the gang.

CHEUK is engaged in a joint investment venture with Wing Wah, a Canadian corporation. He suffers from business setbacks, and decides to use the capital of Wing Wah. TZE-WAH is bored working in an office. He is only happy when he accompanies CHEUK to the night club, where he is faltered by the call girls. CHOU WING-KING, the representative of Wing Wah arrives in Hong Kong. FONG MAN-YING is his assistant. WAI-KIT learns that MAN-YING is doing business with CHEUK. He bids her subtly to be careful of CHEUK. WING-NING discovers that CHEUK has used the fund for his private use. He gives him one month to return all the money. Having no other alternative, CHEUK starts trafficking drugs.

WING-NING is irritated to be involved with the police. He insists that CHEUK repays him all the money within two weeks. WAI-KIT decides to help AH TING get back the cassette tape. He sneaks into KWAN-CHEK's house and sees KWAN-CHEK and YUET-YUE. KWAN-CHEK lets go of WAI-KIT, and gives back the tape, for the sake of YUET-YUE. WAI-KIT gives the tape back to AH TING, who is grateful. WAI-KIT suspects that WING-NING is involved in CHEUK's drugs business. He decides to get close to MAN-YING to collect more information. MAN-YING is pleased to think that WAI-KIT is wooing her. On the other hand, she is irritated that KWAN-CHEK makes bold moves to win her.

KWAN-CHEK frequently goes up to MAN-YING's house and refuses to go. WAI-KIT sees him and drives him away. Insulted, KWAN-CHEK decides to kill WAI-KIT. YUET-YUE learns of his intention and succeeds in dissuading him from it. WING-NING suspects WAI-KIT's intention to be near MAN-YING. He reminds her of it. He goes on revealing his love towards her, which disturbs her even more. CHEUK has no way out but to seek help from KWAN-CHEK. KWAN-CHEK insults him but promises to help him. WING-NING talks to his wife about divorce, in order to show his sincerity towards MAN-YING. WING's wife goes up to MAN-YING's house to talk the case out with her.

WING-NING's wife kills herself. WING-NING is grieved with guilt feelings KWAN-CHEK threatens WING-NING to help him traffics drugs as he ships his wife's coffin back to Canada. CHEUK talks to KWAN-CHEK about the money, but KWAN-CHEK refuses to help. In great anger, he orders TZE-WAH to kidnap YUET-YUE and her mother. The mother and daughter are kept in a go down. When YUET-YUE discovers that it's a trap, she is greatly disappointed at TZE-WAH. TZE-WAH regrets having helped CHEUK to get the hostages. He seeks BIN for help.

KWAN-CHEK finally agrees to pay five million as ransom. CHEUK orders BIN to use the money in drugs business. KWAN-CHEK starts pursuing MAN-WAI, but is coldly refused by her. AH TING gets information about BIN's drug transaction. He plans an operation to arrest BIN, but does not succeed. WAI-KIT explains to SIU-TUNG that his real intention to get close to MAN-YING is to get information from her. MAN-YING overhears it and is greatly hurt. KWAN-CHEK learns that MAN-WAI actually loves BIN. He tells her about BIN's drug business. MAN-WAI is greatly disappointed.

KWAN-CHEK threatens to kill BIN and TSE-WAH. MAN-WAI painfully agrees to spend a night with him. CHEUK agrees to cooperate with KWAN-CHEK in a joint venture trafficking drugs to the States. KWAN-CHEK feels ashamed of what he has done to MAN-WAI. He proposes marriage, but is coldly rejected. BIN is agonized to learn what KWAN-CHEK has done to MAN-WAI. He challenges him for a duel, but is prevented by CHEUK, out of self-interest. BIN decides to leave CHEUK. BIN proposes marriage to MAN-WAI and succeeds. On the day of their wedding. KWAN-CHEK appears:

KWAN-CHEK insults BIN and MAN-WAI on their wedding day. To avoid KWAN-CHEK, BIN's couple decides to move to a quiet village in Lantau Island. Leaders of the underworld are upset at KWAN-CHEK's unscrupulous behaviour They join efforts to kill KWAN-CHEK. CHEUK co-operates with KWAN-CHEK in a set up to kill the four leaders. YIM-KWAN survives but is seriously wounded. The police suspects that WING-NING is involved in the drugs business with CHEUK and KWAN-CHEK. At this point, WAI-KIT reconciles with MAN-YING KWAN-CHEK is closely watched by the police. He suspects CHEUK has betrayed him and forces him to withdraw.

MAN-YING is able to hand the books to WAI-KIT before KWAN-CHEK abducts her. KWAN-CHEK threatens to kill MAN=YING if he does not have the books. WAI-KIT agrees to exchange the books for MAN-YING. During the transaction, TZE-WAH grabs the books and passes them to YUET-YUE. In great anger, KWAN-CHEK catches TZE-WAH and has him heavily beaten. KWAN-CHEK has YUET-YUE abducted and hides her in the same place as TZE-WAH and MAN-YING. WAI-KIT launches a rescue operation. All the three are saved, but KWAN- CHEK escapes.

TZE-WAH's leg has to be cut off. YEE-LING is by his died to comfort him. Their affection grows. YUET-YUE decides to leave Hong Kong for the States. MAN-YING also plans to go back to Canada. WAI-KIT is saddened. WAI-KIT sets KWAN-CHEK up and finally arrests him. At this point, MAN-WAI suddenly appears and stabs KWAN-CHEK. KWAN-CHEK is rushed to the hospital while MAN-WAI is sent to the psychiatric hospital. CHEUK agrees to stand as witness in the prosecution against KWAN- CHEK. His son KWAN-HAN returns to Hong Kong. But he refuses to reconcile with CHEUK. CHEUK ides of heart attack in the prison. WAI-KIT ponders if he should ask MAN-YING to stay. Would there be a happy ending between the two? What is the end of KWAN-CHEK? The answers are in the final episode.
