The Housemaid2025
Pretty good movie. Loved the concept. It was very interesting seeing Sydney Sweeny act in this. She's not the greatest actor ever and not the worst also but her acting at some points felt a bit off for me. I don't know if it was the delivery behind the lines or the way she speaks. Otherwise she delivered in other parts that she had to. As for Amanda Seyfried, she is an ICON, so no criticism there for me. She delivered a very raw and believable performance. The plot was well written. Some scenes felt longer than necessary. The acting overall was pretty good. Some parts felt generic or expected but that's to come with this type genre of movie. Either way, I was very much engaged and following along. It also feels very similar to A Simple Favor, which I guess makes sense as they were directed by the same person and that both movies are based on the books also written by the same author. It's a simple thriller flick, not promising to do much but deliver on what it intended to do.
