My Adventures with Superman2023
A soft beginning, tbh. A bizarreway to intorduce Bizzarro Superman without much other explanation, but ok m excited to see where the season goes!

Not the best, honestly. Gave me "Histpry of the World Part 3" vibes, which isn't great, but isn't bad either
I really only enjoyed the Alexander Graham Bell bit the most. The rest were jsut fine, chuckle worthy here and there! If anything, this show will provide consequentless fun!
This rating might be a tad high but I don't care. Fully deserves it! This show was A FULL-ON DELIGHT!!! We absolutely need a second season, I need to know what's in the pink bag!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
This episode started to feel a little stream-y. I could begin to feel the streaming formula taking shape. And LOW AND BEHOLD.... They REVEALED THE REVEAL?! Sort of! I mean..... I'm giving hope still!! But I feel this might be more of astrewming series, which isn't bad. But I was hoping for a network feel. Spoilers below: GURL. THE *BAFTAS*!!!! It's hiarliois how casual she mentions winning an Oscar. But her FACE when they decide to investigate, CHEF'S KISS!! Great writing, acting, and directing!
Think Devious Maids meets Yellow Jackets meets Such Brave Girls: this is HILARIOUS but the SECRETS!!! The DRAMA!!! I like this first episode quite a bit!!! It's interesting because in these type of shows tend to not reveal what happened and I just want to know what happened way back when. We won't, obviously, until episode 8, 9, or 10. Unless they reve the reveal in episode 3 or 4 and keep revealing thinfs. But usually when the reveal is reveed too early, it doesn't handle the rest well. but I'm fairly confident the reveal won't happen until the end.... I think
The dark millennial in me actually understood and appreciated Jax. Though the finale did Jax no service or justice, I still understood Jax and found him to be prpfpindly MISUNDERSTOOD by everyone else, cast & audience alike. And I wonder what was the disconnect here? Obviously, the disappointing reveals play a factor. Perhaps, it could be the fact the finale is an hour long, yet still feels supremely overstuffed with a lot but still not enough? I do think promises were made that weren't delivered on in the finale that does make someone go, "... that's it...?" It's weird. Right? The finale was weird, but not because of Jax, but because of how the finale decided to suddenly shift focus to justify who is arguably Gooseworx's favorite character (mine, too). The issue isn't in justifying Jax, it's in not having a proper follow through in these justifications while still having tough conversations PLUS having consequences be consequences, big or small. What we lack was proper.... Dare I say, screen time with Jax? I say that having the finale be entirely Jax centric, but we could've/should've gotten these moments throughout the series. Never in my wildest dreams did I guess that Jax the main character, after all? I was focused on the mystery behind The Digital Circus, Scratch, C&A, etc. I, like everyone else, also felt a sharp pain in my side to discover the reality of the TADC cast... Simple copies. COPIES. It was my mistake to think this would be the animated Gen-Z Severance but it's faaaar from it. This could've been a great character study as well as being an interesting sci-fi mystery; but, it neglected to properly be either in the end. As far as I'm concerned, this show is cute. Out of all the webshows, this one felt like it had the most potential but it lost direction the last few episodes. Not bad, but could've been great.
I'm going to be upfront about three things: I didn't like Toy Story, I absolutely could not STAND Bonnie, and Toy Story 2 + Jessie are my favorite aspects of Toy Story to this day. Now, with that being said, Toy Story 4 wasn't great. It's not horrible or bad, but it's weak. That's TWO TS movies that failed to meet my expectations, so, I was HIGHLY concerned for Toy Story 5. In fact, I wasn't going to watch it until streaming; however, my folks are visiting for Father's Day Weekend, so, why not?! WELL, HOLY. COW. From the marketing, I wouldn't have guessed that Woody... Is a SIDE CHARACTER?! But... It works? It's surprising, really, because these have always been about Buzz and Woody. Shifting the focus to Jessie was smart, sure, but it was handled WONDERFULLY WELL! The story focused on Jessie going through her very own journey BY HERSELF, only allowing for Woody's return to be nothing BUT organic and serve as that wise old experienced character who offers help and support when the character is down. What's more is that this movie WITHIN THE FIRST FEW MINUTES of Bonnie's initial screentime, my thoughts, opinions, and beliefs toward Bonnie RADICALLY changed and I felt for Bonnie. FINALLY, We get some semblance into who Bonnie is and what she's struggling with. UGH, MY HEART!!! Discovering MORE about Bonnie as the movie went on felt very Inside Out 1 coded, but was missing actually being inside her head. It's JUST A LITTLE WEIRD how much face value EVERYONE takes the things that happen in this movie. Furthermore, the messages are INSANELY hearthrobby. NOT A SINGLE DRY EYE in my theater—TAKE TISSUES. This might be my second favorite Toy Story movie behind TS2, which is controversial, but I'm a sucker for literally this movie.
I mean, Pakku was right: Aang really should've been focusing on water bending this season. YET. I DO like that Aang got distracted by the fear of his abilities (a nod toward hurting Katara with fire in the animated source material). Buuuuuut... I fear this show is neglecting the fact that Aang struggled with anger throughout the series, which would flare his Avatar State. I do hope they don't gloss over that fact because it felt SUPER glossed over in the finale. Still, pretty freaking cool to watch this all in live action!
WATER BENDING, ICE POWERS, AND MISOGYNISTIC-ASS WHOPPING. ALL IN LIVE ACTION 😍😍😍
I appreciate having a reason for Katara and Sokka to be in danger AND have them be a part of the story while developing them further. Replacing the blue frogs-sick storyline with Koh, I wasn't upset by it
