The Odyssey2026

9.5 🥨Jul 19, 2026

A technical marvel. Christopher Nolan shooting in location and keeping everything “in-camera” as much as possible makes you FEEL that good ol’ movie magic. Great acting performances all around, but my big standouts are Tom Holland, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, & Robert Pattinson. The duo of Matt Damon & Anne Hathaway as Odysseus and Penelope was stellar as well. A movie shot entirely on IMAX cameras with some of the craziest sound design (Nolan likes it a bit too loud imo here & there) is something you won’t regret going to the theater to see. Maybe bring earplugs for some parts though 😅

The Sheep Detectives2026

8.5 🥨May 16, 2026

Absolutely fantastic, feel good, comedic movie to watch! Stacked cast with voices you recognize (on top of Hugh Jackman you got Bella Ramsey, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, BRYAN CRANSTON!) Great overall use of the mystery storyline. The movie plays in on itself with the tropes of a murder mystery as a part of its own organic plot in a way that's still engaging. Yes it's cheesy but in the most charming way possible.

Just a feel good film. I had a great time. Witty jokes that actually made me laugh. Halle Bailey plays the whimsical girl very well. Great look on the Italian family dynamic. We need more movies like this 💜

Acting performances were dope. Sound design was immaculate! We were all there for the music for sure and it was a vibe. The movie plot progression was okay, a little all over the place. And in my opinion there were a few comedic liberties that were a bit interesting (the CG scenes was something else 😅). Jaafar Jackson portrayed his uncle incredibly but another STAR of the show was absolutely Juliano Valdi as young Michael. He was actually singing like Mike too!

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie2026

6.3 🥨Apr 2, 2026

The movie is something cool to watch with the kiddos. But overall it lost a lot of the “Super Mario Galaxy” part of the story to me. Seemed more like a vehicle to introduce as many new Nintendo characters as possible and a major lack of Rosalina in my opinion. I’d say it’s an aggressively okay movie overall.

Was a great shot at a new & original story from Pixar. Loved the relationship between Mabel and her grandmother. Funny jokes and good references to broader Disney titles. Great to take your kids to (we took our daughter and she LOVED IT 💜)

This show was incredible start to finish. If you think you have the mystery solved you’re ABSOLUTELY WRONG. (Didn’t realize they added TV shows on here btw)

Frankenstein2025

Incredible adaptation of the story by Mary Shelley. A great example of using your runtime to the fullest. It was 2 and a half hours but I never felt like the story dragged. Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi both give great performances that make you dislike Frankenstein and feel for the Creature. Mia Goth’s wardrobe never missed. Costume designing as a whole was on point. This movie is hopefully taking a couple awards home this year.
