One of the first DVDs I had back in the day. I have a soft spot for this even though it was critically panned by critics and the general audience. The creature design was good and it had some pretty thrilling sequences. Plus the running time is short. A quick horror ride.
Watching it again nefore seeing the sequel. Too long for a movie of this kind but if you're willing to suspend disbelief, there are a lot of thrilling moments to keep you awake. Popcorn-adrenaline rush movie.
Disappointing! The premise was interesting and the introduction of each super soldier was good. Plus it had Adria Arjona but gave her little action time. That's Wonder Woman, man! I would have love to see her kick ass! Her character was all for it but we got nothing except for that chainsaw sequence. MEH!
I liked it. It retains the formula of the previous films while trying something new. Solid scares and it had some good emotional moments.
One of the best modern horror movies out there. Chilling and disturbing. The slow burn make the unraveling of the story more shocking. Toni Collette was amazing. Excellent cinematography as well.
I wish I could watch this for the first time again. Coming in blind was such a great experience. Awesome solo directorial debut for Zach Cregger.
Seeing the all-star horror cast being victims to the Djinn was a blast. Excellent practical effects! A total guilty pleasure.
It's official! They nailed it with this finale! Great story, great characters, excellent season! Can't wait to see what's next for Hal and John! Let there be green light for Season 2!
Not good but not terrible either. Some good thrills but I didn't like any of the characters. Mediocre sci-fi horror.
It has moments of campy fun but most of the story was dragging. Thanks to the talented cast, this was entertaining enough.
Original, atmospheric and clever. The horror and coming of age pieces blend well together plus it has great performances from the two leads.
A mediocre slasher from Germany. It doesn't deviate from the formula but the mystery was engaging and the island party setting was a nice touch. Entertaining enough but the story is too familiar.
