Another essential watch for this season. Watching it again now, I enjoyed it better. There were a couple of good kills for its time. I'm also currently watching the Crystal Lake series so I appreciated this film more.

Scary Movie2000

Stupid, crude and hilarious. There might be some humor misses but there were a lot of laugh out loud moments to drown them out. A perfect film to watch with your friends while getting drunk this Halloween season.
Wrong Turn2003

A bloody good time. Enjoyed this when I first saw it on DVD then and still enjoyed it now. Has enough thrills and gore for genre fans and the dynamic young cast was fun. A who's who of late 90s and early 2000s pop culture era.
Sleepy Hollow1999
8.0
An excellent adaptation of the novel. The combination of supernatural horror and whodunnit mystery was well done with a great performance from Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane and of course the direction of Tim Burton. The production design was really good. Atmospheric and creepy. One of my favorite movies from 1999.
World War Z2013

"Edge of your seat" thrills from start to finish. This movie was intense! Brad Pitt carried the whole movie with his movie star charm and performance. He outshined all those scary fast zombies. 😁 Had a blast with this.
Catacombs2007

I like Shannyn Sossamon and the Paris Underground setting was good but this had little scares and the twist at the end was just stupid.
The Evil Dead1983
7.1
This used to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid. Not so much now but still a great horror movie. For a low budget flick, this was well shot and the special effects were good. It perfectly showcased Sam Raimi's talent behind the camera.
The Guest2014

Wicked fun! Well directed by Adam Wingard who mixed horror, thriller, action and dark humor well. Dan Stevens' sinister charms shines. One of my favirites from 2014.

"Some of us are meant to wear masks." Awesome 2nd episode. Excited to see what's next!
Fall 2: Deadpoint2026
6.3
Fall 2 uses the same formula of its predecessor and adds something new. Like the first one, if you're willing to suspend disbelief with some of the scenes, you will enjoy it. It has some really good adrenaline-pumping and edge-of-your-seat thrilling moments. I'm in with the next sequel as suggested in the ending.
The Exorcist1973
8.1
A horror classic for a reason. Still powerful, unnerving and scary 50 plus years later. The story was well executed on screen with great characters particularly, Father Karras. The cinematography and practical effects were really good. Definitely one of the scariest films of all time.

Great start! Linda Cardellini was good as Pamela Voorhees. Excited and curious how this prequel series goes.
