The Shawshank Redemption1994
It is one of the most emotionally resonant dramas ever made. Performances ( Morgan and Robbins), thematic depth around hope and institutionalization, and the cathartic ending elevate it above most films of the genre and the 90’s. Wont give a perfect 10 because some people can find it slow paced. MASTERPIECE.
