Daredevil: Born Again2025

S2 7.8 🥨

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 (2026) continued to build on what made the series compelling, delivering strong performances, intense action, and the grounded, street-level storytelling that defines Daredevil at his best. The dynamic between the main characters remained the highlight, and several episodes featured standout moments that reminded me why this is one of Marvel’s strongest live-action properties. As a Marvel fan, I appreciated how the season balanced character development with comic-inspired storytelling without losing the gritty tone that sets it apart. The season wasn’t flawless, though. Some plot threads felt uneven, and there were stretches where the pacing slowed enough to interrupt the momentum. A few story decisions didn’t carry the emotional weight they seemed to be aiming for, but none of them were enough to take away from the overall experience. In the end, Season 2 was a consistently enjoyable watch with more highs than lows. It may not reach the level of Marvel’s very best seasons, but it’s a strong continuation of the series and one I’d readily recommend to both longtime Daredevil fans and anyone who enjoys grounded superhero dramas.

Knowing2009

7.3 🥨

An ambitious sci-fi thriller that balances mystery, suspense, and large-scale disaster surprisingly well. Its atmosphere and thought-provoking ending make it memorable, even if some plot points are a bit far-fetched. Nicolas Cage gives a stronger performance than the film often gets credit for. It’s a good, underrated film that’s easy to recommend.

M.I.A.2026

S1 6.6 🥨
Contains spoilers · Show review

M.I.A. (2026) had enough interesting ideas to keep me watching, but the execution never fully came together. The mob storyline was easily the most engaging part of the season and hinted at a much more compelling show than what ultimately unfolded. Unfortunately, the main character never clicked with me. Her progression felt difficult to believe, even with the level of suspension of disbelief the series asks of its audience, making it hard to stay invested in her journey. The biggest issue was the inconsistent writing. Character motivations and decisions often felt like they changed from episode to episode depending on what the plot needed, rather than what made sense for the characters themselves. Elías Pérez is a good example: he’s built up as an unpredictable, ruthless maniac, but outside of one memorable encounter with the Russian mob, he rarely lives up to that reputation and is instead repeatedly outmatched—most notably by Carmen. Moments like that made several of the show’s major players feel less intimidating than they were intended to be. In the end, M.I.A. is watchable and has flashes of potential, but uneven character writing, unconvincing development, and inconsistent execution keep it from rising above average.

Spider-Noir2026

S1 7.8 🥨

As a longtime Marvel fan, Spider-Noir (2026) delivered a version of the character that felt fresh while still respecting the comics. The noir atmosphere, visual style, and darker tone were easily the show’s biggest strengths, and seeing this corner of the Spider-Verse brought to life was worth the watch. There were plenty of details and references for comic readers to appreciate without making the series inaccessible to casual viewers. That said, the pacing wasn’t always consistent. A few episodes slowed the momentum, and some storylines didn’t land with the same impact as the stronger ones. Even so, the performances, world-building, and commitment to the noir aesthetic kept me invested throughout. It isn’t among Marvel’s all-time best adaptations, but it’s a solid, entertaining series that I’d recommend to Spider-Man fans—especially those who enjoy exploring the more obscure corners of the mythos.

Not a typical Scream movie, felt more along the lines of what Halloween (2018) was. Reveal of this one is a joke though.

Liked the changes to the setting, aggression of Ghostface - but reveal/some “surprises” at the end lost me
