Train Dreams is a simple story told beautifully. It’s about the relentless progress of modern technology versus the simple, everlasting beauty of nature. It’s about life, love, and loss and the beauty in a simple life. It’s not the American Dream but perhaps it is much closer to the American Truth.
The extraordinary story of an ordinary life.

“In the forest, every least thing’s important. It’s all threaded together, so you can’t tell where one thing ends and another begins if you really look at it. The little insect you can’t even see, they play a role as vital as the river. The dead tree is as important as the living one. There must be something for us to learn from that.”
A logger leads a life of quiet grace as he experiences love and loss during an era of monumental change in early 20th-century America.
