Marty Supreme

Marty Supreme poster

Rating every movie I watch this year for the first time movie 86: finally watched this one and it didn't really dissapoint, we start the movie meeting Marty Mauser a very complex selfish ego maniac and over time he devolps. The story for this movie is there. The story makes sense but at times it just dosent fully deliever and they tried to do a lot of plot lines at once that didn't fully work. The movie is set in the 1950s and you really can't tell unless you look at sets and such  because not many actors especially the main ones are acting like they are in that time period. The cinematography was good there were a lot of good shots especially when it came to the ping pong scenes. Theres also a lot to interpret here especially with the ending and the ending song was a good choice but dosent fit in with the time period. Now acting wise I can see why this didn't win any of its 9 Oscar's nominations. Timothee Chalamet gives a great performance as Marty Mauser, he knows how to play a sorta narcissist character like Marty. O'dessa A'zion gives a okay performance she's good during emotional scenes but I'm not seeing a whole ton from her and I'm glad she wasn't choosen as rouge got X-men reboot. Gwentyth Paltrow is not good here. I'm not a fan of her work really and so I'm not fully sure how she keeps getting jobs because she can't really act that much anymore . Her performances always kinda fall flat. Kevin O'Leary here kept messing with me and caught me off guard because he also can't act . He's a billionaire who probbaly didn't need to be in this movie. The rest of the cast however was good they definitely deserved to be in more of the movie then some other people. My stand out of this film was Tyler the creator . He was really good here . He fit  vibes good and had good chemistry with chalamet . I do hope to see him in more. Overall some scenes here were sorta disturbing with content wise but it wasn't bad. I don't think I'd watch this again but it is good for a one time watch to show how egotism can take over. The guy who played endo was also very good. I do also think this movie runs way too long.

Que carajo tan inmamable,so 👏.
