It’s Chinese New Year, which means a big feast, red envelopes, and friends and family all together! Kai-lan and her friends are thrilled because this year, they are old enough to carry the huge dragon costume. It’s going to take a whole team of friends to carry it for the celebration, and Rintoo is assigned to march in the middle of the dragon. But Rintoo doesn’t think the middle is important, and walks away. Can you help Kai Lan show Rintoo his actions are affecting his friends? Part 1: The Monkey King is having a party and Kai-Lan and her friends help him decorate. However as the preparations begin, the gang tries out some of his things, causing a big mess. So Kai-Lan and her friends apologize to the Monkey King for causing the mess, and the Monkey King says it was an accident. Part 2: Finally, Kai-Lan and her friends point out that their clothes are dirty; The Monkey King switches the dirty clothes with Monkey King costumes, they finish decorating, and Kai-Lan receives the "very newest" Monkey King book from the Monkey King.

Rintoo gets angry when he loses a dragonboat race. Kai-lan helps him calm down so they can all meet Mr. Dragon at the end of the festival.

While playing near an ant city with Twirly Whirly flowers, Tolee accidentally break the ants' bridge. Kai-lan and her friends help the ants repair it.

Kai-lan wants to start a band, but Tolee cannot do a rhyme. The gang encourages him to keep trying, and he discovers he has a talent for singing and rhyming.

Kai-lan helps the ants build a tire swing for their playground, but she makes it too big. She learns to view things from the ants' perspective and builds a new swing that is just right.

Rintoo and the gang work together to assemble his new toy car, but Hoho can't wait until it is finished. He hops in before the car is done, causing it to fall apart. Kai-lan helps him learn to be patient so everyone gets to play.

Kai-lan camps out in the backyard in a ladybug-shaped tent with her friends, but trouble arises when Tolee refuses to share a stuffed toy, Pandy. Kai-lan helps Tolee see that everyone has more fun while sharing.

Kai-lan and her friends are allowed to carry the dragon costume for Chinese New Year parade, but Rintoo quits the team after getting upset about his "boring" middle position.

Kai-lan and friends make hats and prepare for a special parade, but Rintoo is upset when Hoho copies his design, and Kai-lan must find a way to calm him so the parade can go on.

Kai-lan takes her friends sledding, but Tolee is afraid, so the gang helps him overcome his fear by starting with a small hill.

In a lesson about jealousy, Kai-lan follows strange footprints to an elephant, whose large size makes Rintoo envious.

The gang's outdoor fun is canceled by the rain and Kai-lan helps them overcome their disappointment.

On a trip to the beach, Tolee gets angry when the waves knock over his sand castle, so the others help him calm down and together they build a better castle.

Rintoo brags about winning all the contests in the Dinosaur Games, causing the others to quit in anger.

Kai-lan teaches responsibility to Rintoo and Hoho after they accidentally break Stompy's toy rocket and run away.

Kai-lan helps Rintoo overcome his fear of roller skating so he can join his friends at the rink.

Kai-lan learns how to compromise with her friend Lulu when they take turns playing together.

Hoho's lantern flies away and he becomes trapped with it in a tree. Kai-lan figures out a way to rescue him just in time for the lantern festival.

Rintoo sprains his ankle and can not go trick-or-treating with all of his friends.

Kai-Lan, Ye Ye and her friends travel to China to meet Kai-lan's great aunt, Gui Nai Nai to visit her and meet a village on top of a bamboo forest full of pandas as they help a baby panda at a naming party. What will be the baby panda's name?

The gang heads to the Ladybug Festival and Tolee leads the way through the woods, but Rintoo and Hoho chatter so much they can't hear Tolee's directions. Kai-lan then tries explaining to her pals how important it is to listen to others.

The gang members work on making a dinosaur-shaped balloon for a festival, and they learn the importance of pitching in after Stompy initially shows some reluctance to helping Kai-lan fix a balloon she broke.

Hoho doesn't get the part he wants in a play about the Monkey King, so he lets his anger get the best of him and quits the play. Kai-lan then tries to get him to express his frustration in a calm way.
