Me encantó conocer a John, aunque a muchos no les gustó, a mí me pareció de lo más interesante. Y creo que está puesto al propósito el que parezca que fue hecho para no tener miedo cuando la proeza de un Linterna Verde es vencer el miedo. Creo que a lo largo de la serie John conocerá el miedo.
Pfff! Gran inicio. Tiene todo el sentido este episodio. Es una cátedra de cómo iniciar una serie, no se guardan mucho, plantea desde el inicio, no se esperan hasta el 3er episodio para ir explicando y mostrando. El episodio funciona por sí solo.
Me gusto como manejaron a historia de origen de J.S y si me parece el mejor capítulo hasta el momento. (COMIENZO A CREER QUE HAL JORDAN SI ESTA DOMINADO POR PARALLAX Y ESA SERÁ LA AMENAZA)
Me gustó. Aunque creo que yo entendí el episodio de otra forma. Para mí la serie criticó la mentalidad victimista de los padres y como afectaron la niñez y la vida de John para supuestamente acercarlo al objetivo de ser el nuevo Linterna. La escena donde la madre está en riesgo fue la forma en la que la serie le puso en la cara las consecuencias de su forma de tratar a su hijo menor todo este tiempo.
un muy buen episodio piloto, cumple demasiado bien su función, es entretenido y ese final te atrapa para querer seguir viendo más
Enjoyed seeing John’s backstory and how he became who we see at the start of the show. Thought it was interesting to have his mom be the one observing over getting him to become a green lantern and not his dad like we first thought. Not sure this needed to be a full episode, just because it only has so many episodes to work with. Still excited for the rest of the season.
Everyone loves a good origin story… And since John Stewart is one of those comic book characters who don't have a straightforward origin story like Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, or Peter Parker, this was a great origin story for a character who is just as nuanced as Hal Jordan. I enjoyed this episode because it was quiet, but it had a lot to say about race, feeling chosen, dedication, and the overall theme of this episode: Fear. And what's more intriguing than the subtext of fear? Thank god for the YouTube channels that are dedicated to breaking down shows like this because without them, I would have no idea what the easter eggs mean & how they relate to the grand universe of DC.
Excellent backstory of John Stewart. This show keeps getting better and better!
