This is the first Tarantino’s film I've watched. It's almost a masterpiece. It's a breeze to watch. The dialogues, monologues, humor, depth of the characters, and their development are top-notch. The immersion in the brilliant characters is truly satisfying. Among all the genres in this film, the crime genre shines the brightest. While the detective aspect is decent, it could be better. I also appreciate the exploration of pressing social issues from that era and beyond. This film is for the discerning viewer, as it can be monotonous and lengthy at times.
A legendary thriller. The highlight of the movie is obviously not the main villain, but Hannibal Lecter. Clarice as the protagonist is also very interesting. There is a cool dynamic between Hannibal and Clarissa, which I like more than the relationship between Hannibal and Will Graham. Hannibal's mysteries, manipulations, and schemes are as impressive as ever. The scene in the police station and the final battle are intense moments.
Iconic horror film that has had a huge impact on the film industry. The ideas from this film have been incorporated into a wide range of projects, from Tarantino's films to Stranger Things. I particularly enjoyed the biological concept of The Thing. It's essentially a "Among Us"-style survival game. It's more of a thriller than a horror film. There's a lack of introduction to the characters. The ending is unclear
This film is incredibly atmospheric. The music, the cinematography, and the setting are captivating. This film feels like a Soviet adaptation of a Russian classic literary work. It features primitive religious metaphors and allegories. It is suitable for fans of absurdity and surrealism.
It's a brilliant film. Many unique ideas and concepts are hidden beneath the veil of visual noise, ridiculous humor, and complete absurdity. This eliminates the audience that is unworthy of the film. This masterpiece best explores the concept of the multiverse and quantum mechanics. There's also a touch of philosophy, with the contrast between existentialism represented by the main character and nihilism represented by the main villain, but both characters and philosophies find common ground. The characters are beautiful, lively, and realistic, and I feel a connection with them. The plot is simple, but very dramatic and intriguing, with even some plot twists.
The film is very fast-paced, the story is short, but it contains a lot of meaning, symbolism, philosophy, artistic turns, and details that may not be immediately apparent. It also features some good plot twists. The concept of the film, which is about a hypothetical future, is banal but interesting in its own way, and many relevant social issues are adapted to fit the theme.
Give me back my time. The film has the most pathetic running time: it's very long at 2 hours and 40 minutes, and it could easily be condensed into 50 minutes. The scenes are incredibly long and monotonous. The only thing I enjoyed was the dialogue between Bill and Alice in the first quarter of the film. The film's philosophy about lust, power, and sexual and romantic relationships is good, but the execution is very poor. The symbolism of masks and mirrors is clichéd even for that time, but the eight-pointed stars are not.
This is a very atmospheric film. The picture is made in the style of old films. Horror this film can not be called, but mystery and tension are present throughout the film. In fact, there is more psychological horror than horror. It is very painful to watch how the main character and her children are forced to suffer from isolation, how she longs for her husband, how her husband went mad in the war. The outcome is difficult to predict, but it is not very interesting.
