This Star Wars project was a bummer for me because I actually really enjoy the Mandolorian character and his dynamic with Grogu but this movie felt unnecessary and in my opinion added nothing to the characters stories or arch’s that the show hasn’t already. Star Wars has some things they need to figure out
In a time where Super Hero IPs have gotten oversaturated - The Boys flips the genre on its head by turning the "Heros" into the shows true villians. The series also provides commentary on big business, politics, and society as a whole that make it feel relevant despite being in a fictional world. While The Boys does take a dip in quality during its last couple seasons, in its entirety it's one of the best and more unique Super Hero shows we've ever gotten.
After the wild ending to its predecessor - Donnie and Nick are back in action in the unexpected but welcomed sequel to the original Den of Thieves. This film does a great job of continuing the story from the first and keeping just enough of the original formula to make you think you know what’s happening while also finding a way to break out and keep viewers guessing til the end. Before the credits roll, the seeds for a third film are well planted and I believe Den of Thieves II: PANTERA delivered enough to green light whatever they have planned for us next.
Sensory overload and fan service in the best possible way! This movie isn’t in the debate for “Best SuperHero film ever made” like it was promised but boy did DC deliver an epic adventure. The way the Muschietti was able to portray Barry’s skill set thru modern technology really was amazing to watch. Michael Keaton returning as Batman completely satisfied my inner child and Sasha Calle was a fantastic Supergirl. The few complaints I have would mostly come from a couple slightly rushed story points and the chronobowl scenes containing some below average, video game looking CGI. However, as an avid comic lover who holds the original Flashpoint storyline in the highest of regards, I thought DC was able to bring justice (pun intended) to one of comics greatest arcs while adapting it in a new and fresh way that tied in to the history of all DC film eras. Despite its flaws, The Flash was a BLAST from start to finish⚡️
I thought I had the twist to this movie figured out going into it. Boy was I wrong (mostly) 😳
Comedy, Drama, History, etc. You name it and Fly Me to the Moon had it. This film explores the popular conspiracy of the USA moon landing video and it's legitimacy in a way that is comical, fun, and doesn't insult the people of NASA by treating them as potential scam artist. Rather- the film demonstrates the gravity of the moment in easily digestible way for viewers and pays respect to the historical achievement while also playing with the idea infamous theory.
A solid origin film for the iconic Transformers franchise. A great voice acting cast, stellar animation, and some added lore to the history of some classic Transformer characters made up the positives for this film. However- tonally this film was all over the place with some points feeling like a young children’s movie while others ventured to be darker in nature. This bouncing around wasn’t terrible but it did make me question at times who the films target audience was. While probably not for the casual fan- if you are a fan of the Transformers franchise then Transformers One is a decent addition the brands iconic filmography.
Li Fong would solo every character in the entire Karate Kid and Cobra Kai franchise
I went in to this film not knowing more than a quick Google search about the FNAF franchise so I’m far from an expert in the lore or the right person to ask if it did Justice to its source material. However, thru that lens this movie had pretty horrible dialogue, stiff acting, and muted reactions to other worldly activity. I like Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard a lot but the latter was under utilized and the former didn’t get much from his supporting cast. I was interested enough in the story that I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a second. But to me, this movie felt like it was written by AI and could’ve been much better
New to the John Wick universe but locked in going forward. Next level action and choreography that I can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on for years
A better sequel than I anticipated. The first twenty minutes feel a little forced to get the story rolling but once it does it’s a ride til the finish
