top 100 favorite films

Cinema, to me, is the ultimate art of storytelling. It can be delicate and nuanced, or so overwhelming that it leaves you breathless. More than mere entertainment, it has the power to challenge our perspectives, illuminate the world around us, and move us in ways few other art forms can. Some films entertain us, others break us, and a rare few change the way we see the world. These are the films that have shaped my love for cinema and made me appreciate everything the medium has to offer. Here are my all-time favorite films, the ones I can't imagine my life without. Not ranked.

The Hateful EightOnce Upon a Time... in HollywoodKill Bill: Vol. 1Django Unchained

tarantino ranked

an insufferable man and a terrible person who, unfortunately, knows how to make a fucking movie.

Star Wars Ranked

I’d watch any of these on a loop for eternity before subjecting myself to The Rise of Skywalker one more time.

tbh ranking his films feels like choosing between children, because each one captures something profound about loneliness, connection, and the messy beauty of being human.

people are people

films about people living their lives, where even the simplest moments can tell a story without needing a plot.

nolan ranked

ranking nolan’s films is nearly impossible, the man simply doesn’t make bad movies. even his weaker entries have something special about them. whether he’s twisting your brain or delivering spectacular action, his storytelling always hits. here’s my attempt at ranking a filmmaker who consistently blows me away.

Movies I Watched or Rewatched in 2019

I certainly watched more but damn I'm lazy af sometimes.

First and foremost, please keep in mind that this is a subjective list based purely on personal enjoyment. To me, GOTG (all) and Winter Soldier are in a league of their own. While I've never been particularly enamored with the Iron Man movies, I find myself placing Ant-Man above them on my list (I don’t care). The films in my top nine are the ones I turn to when I'm in the mood for some pure, unadulterated fun, and they never fail to deliver. That said, even the movies that received three stars from me are enjoyable in their own right, although they didn't quite make the cut for an extra star.

The willingness of this man to center a film on an abstraction and present it as if he’s only letting the camera go and explore it, is a technique that I find unique to him.
