Emma D’Arcy gives one of the finest performances I have ever seen. Give her her Emmy already.
Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning2025
It feels pretty different tonally compared to the rest and probably has less action than any other film in the series. The arctic sequence is entirely too long and takes up nearly half the movie. Not the best entry in the franchise but a fitting conclusion in its own way. My personal final rankings of the series: 1. Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning (2023) 2. Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One2023
Every film in the franchise since Ghost Protocol has improved on the last. It’s a rare franchise that gets stronger with each entry.
Mission: Impossible - Fallout2018
Probably the best movie in the series, though the first will always hold a special place in my heart. Henry Cavil is a great addition. Rebecca Ferguson remains fantastic. All that was missing was Jeremy Renner’s Brandt.

Best movie in the franchise since the original. I love me some Rebecca Ferguson.
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol2011
The best team chemistry of the first four films. Jeremy Renner is a great addition. Still some utterly ridiculous moments but that’s common place in the franchise at this point.

Better than the second but not as good as the first.
Mission: Impossible II2000
I am not one who actively looks for reasons to dislike stuff, in fact quite the opposite, but this movie is laughable. A star-studded cast that is absolutely wasted. The action scenes are so ridiculously over-the-top. The fight choreography is asinine. Everything is in slow motion. The first Mission Impossible isn’t exactly grounded but this is Mission Impossible on meth.

This season picks off right where season two left off and it wastes little time getting to the action.
