Mona Lisa Smile2003
Ugh its so sad. A mentor-student relationship will always get me, but one between women hits different as i’ve always wondered why this genre of film exists with attention to the male world but never to the female one, especially that in reality, women are always more affected with such matters. My own professors have left so big of an impact on me, i find myself following in their steps. I loved how the girl who was so reluctant to the teacher’s efforts from the very beginning became the one who most needed her and her support, and was the one affected most by her.
The Dog Stars2026
Has anyone seen a plot? Cause i’ve been looking for it for the past 2 hours
Outlander2014
The lack of comprehensive plot is genuinely baffling for a show with this much potential. All i’m asking myself is, what reason have i to continue watching this?
The Holdovers2023
All three, varied, characters had one thing in common: their fear. Fear of their past, their pain, and their present. And fear will stifle you, fear will keep you stagnant for as long as you know until you relinquish its hold over you. One of my absolute favorite lines ever that nearly killed me with their heartbreaking accuracy: “I’m not sure i have an entire book in me./You can’t even dream a whole dream, can you?” A phenomenal watch, one for the soul..

I really liked the score. Edward Norton did a really good job even though i’m not exactly his biggest fan. I wouldn’t say the film is mid but it’s a tad overhyped i expected a twist greater than this.. cause the end, i mean, who wouldn’t have thought that he was pretending tho?

The chemistry between all the characters is insane… And the acting just feels so natural it feels like this is who they actually are i havent seen acting this well put in so long And the entire show is just equal parts cute, wholesome, fun, emotional and sad.. The slow burn of Ellis and Annie just did something so special for me like i needed that.. i have BEEN needing that. their energy is just magnificent and i wanted more and more of them Also i surprisingly dont hate Annie or Romona.. i expected i would but i really dont. I feel that way about all the female characters actually, matter of fact all of them.. i think this is what happens when a woman is the creator of a craft: i felt a bit of myself as a girl and a woman in all of these girls and women.. and I didnt even hate the men.. the heart of a female storyteller is just so unique and unparalleled, it catches things so beautifully and gets you to somehow sympathize and feel every single character and emotion.. (I won’t mention any criticism cause i’ll just keep this show as is: a fun wholesome watch that was purely entertaining and comforting, i wouldn’t want to ruin it.. not now at least)

Before Sunset2004
Rewatched one of my favorite movies of all time This film outweighs the first because you get to understand the depths of their feelings for eachother. That it is, in fact, not some one night stand that will either be forgotten or will end in a happily ever after. It's much more complex than that.. it is, dare i say, more realistic. I love it because it's when they realize how foolish they were 9 years ago.. acting in the spur of the moment and excitingly so.
The Worst Person in the World2021
I can't say it resonated with me although i did connect to the main character in some instances like the idea that she can't trust herself and her decision making because how she feels now about a particular situation(despite feeling strongly towards it might change in a mtter of minutes. The fact that she feels the need to rebrand herself every six months or so..
