Rewatched one of my favorite movies of all time This film outweighs the first because you get to understand the depths of their feelings for eachother. That it is, in fact, not some one night stand that will either be forgotten or will end in a happily ever after. It's much more complex than that.. it is, dare i say, more realistic. I love it because it's when they realize how foolish they were 9 years ago.. acting in the spur of the moment and excitingly so.
I can't say it resonated with me although i did connect to the main character in some instances like the idea that she can't trust herself and her decision making because how she feels now about a particular situation(despite feeling strongly towards it might change in a mtter of minutes. The fact that she feels the need to rebrand herself every six months or so..
Damn why do i continue watching this series
BRILLIANCE. Forever my favorite movie. Fell in love since the very first time i'd seen it in 2019. This is only my 5th watch.. i try not to watch it too mnay times so i don't get tired of it (although i fear thats impossible)
You wanna watch men being disgusting pieces of shit for 3 hours? Please go ahead and watch this. I get the idea of the film and why it was done in that way, but that doesn't mean that i enjoyed it.
A film finalized by a mere performance that greatly deepened the layers of the film as well as concluded everything perfectly What a fucking finale
With the help of the synopsis and the poster, i was able to guess the plot in the first 2-3 mins honestly; white family who uses their children as ploy to target black people and does some fucked up shit with them. The question was what exactly is the kind of fucked up shit they're doing and how are they doing it? Thats what i had to figure out, which is still a bit unclear ngl.
The concept is really interesting i'll give it that. It lacked so many of the cliches you always find in horror movies which was enough to keep me engaged th. The idea was presented quite differently than normal and the filmography was on point. Even though i was left a bit confused at last, but i wasn't as disappointed as i usually am with horror films that shed more spotlight on the jumpscares rather than the actual storlyline. I was curious to know the details of what went on in the woods/trees, maybe see it too.
I fear the boys who claim this as their favorite film dont actually get what its about
