Nosferatu2024
He wanted to fuck one woman and decided to make it her and everyone else’s problem. Men. On a serious note, i’m glad i eased my way into nosferatu by unintentionally watching other “gothic horror/romance” over the last 2 years. Cause had i seen this as my intro to gothic i would’ve probably been traumatized forever. And this made me realize that perhaps i enjoy a more mildish gothic.. and perhaps this wasn’t entirely my cup of tea BUT, i did like alot about this: the cinematography, the performances were really interesting and compelling, dialogue, score, and of course overall aesthetic. i really enjoyed Lilly’s performance i think she’s meant for this type of genre. One thing that truly stood out to me was the questioning of evil and moral goodness that i assume was the director’s doing rather than a true element of the original story. “We must know evil to be able to destroy it. We must discover it within ourselves and when we have, we must crucify the evil within ourselves or there is no salvation.”
